Formerly known as the Panel on Gamma and Electron Irradiation 'The Irradiation Panel' is a membership organisation dedicated to the advancement, development, promotion, regulation and practice of radiation processing using electron beam, gamma and X-ray technology. Established in 1966 in the United Kingdom it now has members from across Europe and beyond. It meets twice a year to discuss the major issues and challenges facing the industry. Autumn/Fall Meeting of the Irradiation Panel is set for Tuesday 26 November (WGs) and Wednesday 27 November (Main Panel+Industry Updates+Plenary). Venue is the Lensbury Resort Hotel, Teddington, London, UK (close to Heathrow Airport on the bank of the river Thames). Panel members should have received an email invite already, but contact any Panel Officer for more details.

On the program: enriching sessions and exchanges on the field of irradiation with our chairs of the day: Mark Bailey (Risø HDRL, Technical University of Denmark), Abbas NASREDDINE (Aerial-CRT), Nicolas Ludwig (Aerial-CRT), and Josef Mittendorfer (Mediscan). The Irradiation Panel is excited to announce the formation of the “Education & Training Working Group”! 📢 This is a significant step forward in our commitment to supporting career development by delivering educational content. This dynamic group is dedicated to developing high-quality online training content, building upon proposals discussed at the Panel meetings held in 2023. The first task is the development of a comprehensive charter for the group and our online training project. This foundational document will guide our efforts as we strive to deliver enriching educational experiences to our community. We will be introducing the formation and aims of our new working group at the upcoming Annual General Meeting on April 24 in London.
