🌟We need your help to make PREreview better!🌟 We would greatly appreciate your participation in a short survey to help us understand your experiences of engaging with us at PREreview! Your feedback is vital in shaping the future of our work at PREreview and ensuring that our community is as welcoming, useful, and engaging for our members as possible. The survey should only take 7-10 minutes, and your insights will play a key role in guiding our efforts to better serve you and the wider community, particularly in how we communicate and how we might further improve our programs and platform. We would be very grateful for your time and you can find the survey here: https://lnkd.in/eE3S6kwF Thank you!

Catalyzing change in peer review through equity, openness, and collaboration.
About us
PREreview's mission is to bring more diversity and equity to scholarly peer review by supporting and empowering communities of researchers, particularly those at early stages of their career (ECRs) and historically underrepresented in scholarship, to review preprints in a process that is rewarding to them. PREreview gives systematically disadvantaged scientists better ways to find a voice, train, and engage in peer review. Our work is a direct response to the flawed way scientific research is evaluated. Behind closed doors, a handful of unpaid reviewers—selected opaquely and mainly through personal connections—use subjective criteria to decide the fate of a research article. This arcane process is slow and disadvantages researchers from historically underrepresented groups. PREreview is a fiscally sponsored project of the non-profit organization Code for Science and Society and is funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation and the Wellcome Trust. 🎉 We’re celebrating our first preprint author comment in response to a review! This open exchange between preprint authors and community reviewers has been so excited to witness, as this is an example of exactly the kind of community we work to build. Here’s how they did it (and how you can do it too). We hope this encourages you to contribute this kind of constructive feedback that PREreview enables. To more of this in 2025! #OpenScience #Preprint #PreprintReview bioRxiv & medRxiv You can find and follow all parts of this exchange, each with their CC BY License and DOIs so they are all independently citable research objects: Preprint: https://lnkd.in/g5A_nU5e Review: https://lnkd.in/g6kUGsuy Comment to Review: https://lnkd.in/gQzEGtfr
