We are proud to introduce you to the fourth edition of the SAM Camp! 📚 This five-day crash-course on sports arbitration will be available to all participants of the Sports Arbitration Moot (SAM).🤝 The SAM Camp will prepare this year’s participants for their oral rounds, ensuring that they quickly become familiar with the SAM case and that they have all tools required to prepare their arguments. 👩🏫👨🏫 Akin to last year, the SAM Camp will take the form of distance learning courses on sports arbitration and public speaking, lasting 2 to 3 hours a day for five days, and will be held from 13 January to 17 January 2025. 🗓 This year again, we are delighted to welcome Jus Mundi, which will be giving prime access to their platform to the participating students, and train them for an optimal use of their tools. 👩💻👨💻 The programme of this edition’s SAM Camp will be the following: ✅ Day 1: Legal Research in sports arbitration, with Jaime Cambreleng Contreras and Emiliano Olivetti. ✅ Day 2: Oral Advocacy, with Alfredo Bullard G and Luisa Bernasconi. ✅ Day 3: Introduction to merits issues relevant to the moot problem, with Ivan Dunjic. ✅ Day 4: Introduction to the jurisdictional issues relevant to the moot problem, with Leanne O'Leary. ✅ Day 5: Q&A session and other logistical details, with Celia Cañete, Giulio Palermo and Christelle E.. We are delighted to announce that the University of Zurich is the winner of the 2024 edition of the SAM Award Competition! 🏆 Based on the SAM Case of the third edition, the University of Zurich has drafted an outstanding arbitral award regarding anti-doping and contamination issues. ✍️ Thanks to the support of our partner the Association Suisse de Droit du Sport (ASDS), the author of the winning Award Ms Josepha Nehring had the honour of receiving her trophy at the 11th Sports Law Days in Macolin, Switzerland from the Association Suisse de Droit du Sport (ASDS)’s President, Mr Michele (Michael) Bernasconi and our SAM representatives Giulio Palermo and Francisco Mateo Pavía. 🙏🇨🇭 We also had the pleasure of welcoming the second runner-up team members from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Pedro Miguel Mata Chacín and Carlos Müller Muiños. ✨ We would also like to congratulate the first runner-up Master 2 Arbitrage et Commerce International (MACI) for their great performance, as well as all the teams that undertook this challenge. 💪 The Awards are available on our website here: https://lnkd.in/e4PgeAtV 📲 Next up: the official programme of the SAM Camp of this fourth edition of the Sports Arbitration Moot. This year again, the Sports Arbitration Moot is honoured to benefit from the support of the AIAF - Association Internationale des Avocats du Football, an association dedicated to promoting legal developments in the field of sports law, specifically in football. ⚽️ Our SAM founder, Giulio Palermo, attended the 11th AIAF Congress held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 and renewed our gratitude for this partnership which enhances the quality of the pool of SAM Arbitrators. 🔥 Many mooties have kicked off their professional careers with the support of SAM Arbitrators who witnessed their skills after participating in the Sports Arbitration Moot. That is why the support of an association such as the AIAF - Association Internationale des Avocats du Football is essential to reach our goal of training the next generation of sports lawyers and offering exposure to the newest talents. 💪 We look forward to furthering our collaboration with the AIAF - Association Internationale des Avocats du Football under the presidency of Juan de Dios Crespo Pérez.
