The development of robust AI policies is not just a global priority—it is a regional imperative, ensuring that emerging technologies serve as tools for our sustainable growth and resilience while safeguarding equity and inclusion. I extend my heartfelt thanks to Governor Greenidge Dr. Kevin Greenidge and his exceptional team for organizing yet another sterling event and presentation, showcasing the Central Bank’s continued dedication to education and innovation. The evening was also a wonderful reunion with dear colleagues and friends, and it was a true pleasure to reconnect and touch base with so many brilliant minds. A particular highlight was catching up with Krystle D. Howell, CPA, CIA, FCA, COSO, ALMI , one of the island’s leading Internal Auditors and a prominent voice in the financial sector. It was inspiring to discuss the critical need for mandatory legal technology education with @Dr. Luis Videgaray, and I’m excited to share more insights from those conversations in my upcoming posts. 🌟 Proud to be a Femme Lex Cohort Ambassador! 🌟 A few months ago, I successfully completed The Femme Lex Cohort 2024 Justice Ambassadors Program, and the lessons I learned continue to inspire me every day! This 8-week journey transformed my understanding of the intersection between technology, law, and environmental justice and how these fields can shape a fairer and more sustainable future. Throughout this program, I explored: • 🌐 The ethical implications of Artificial Intelligence • 🔐 Cybersecurity fundamentals and safeguarding systems • 🛠️ Blockchain, NFTs, and their future applications • 🌱 Climate technology’s role in sustainability • 🎮 AR vs. VR applications across industries • 🛡️ Red teaming to identify AI vulnerabilities For me, the experience wasn’t just about learning new concepts it was about seeing the potential of technology to drive equity, sustainability, and innovation. As someone deeply passionate about healthcare and public health, it sparked ideas on how technology can empower healthcare workers, improve patient outcomes, and protect vulnerable communities. 💡 Takeaways that resonate with me: • Growth lies just outside our comfort zones. • Collaboration across diverse perspectives leads to innovative solutions. • Responsible technology must prioritize equity, privacy, and well-being. I’m immensely grateful to Gabrielle Gay, whose leadership and energy inspired us all, and to the brilliant mentors like Brian Sanya Mondoh, Dr. Rumman Chowdhury, Yanique Russell and Rosana John who shared their invaluable insights. My fellow Eco-Technology Justice Ambassadors were equally inspiring thank you for making this journey one to remember! This milestone is only the beginning.
