Today is World Soil Day! As stewards of the soil who produce the world’s most sustainable soy, U.S. soybean farmers help support nutrition security for a growing world. One way U.S. soybean farmers protect and preserve soil is by practicing conservation tillage, which leaves at least 30% of the plant residue on the field following harvest. Less tillage contributes to healthier soil full of nutrient-rich organic matter which in turn helps produce higher yields per hectare of land. #USSOY #WorldSoilDay #SoilBiodiversity #SustainableAgriculture

I’m pleased to be participating in the USDA ag trade mission to Casablanca, Morocco this week with #USSOY grower leader April Hemmes and USSEC colleagues Brent Babb and Khalid Benabdeljelil. This dynamic market is on the cusp of exciting growth! We’ve heard inspiring comments from USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Administrator Whitley about Morocco’s potential as both an important ag trade partner and its prime location as a gateway to Africa. During our time here we’re meeting with U.S. soy customers to hear their future plans and learn how we can support their growth. We’re also looking forward to launching an initial Soy Excellence Center (SEC) course in Morocco next month, building on USSEC’s great SEC success in the region. Thanks to USDA and our USSEC MENA team for putting together such a visionary and impactful mission! #USSOY #globaltrade

Thanks to all for support during the 5 years on the MENA U.S. Soy Excellence Center programs. 150 training programs with over 20,000 participants in support on MENA poultry, aquaculture, and feed industry.
This week we celebrated the 5th anniversary of inaugural Soy Excellence Center located in Cairo Egypt. Solving food security means we must bridge the protein gap. This can only by accomplished by breaking down barriers to education. That is what the SEC does. It provides basic and intermediate level training on nutrition, production and feedmill practices in emerging markets for entry level to mid level individuals. Many of which do not have a formal education. This program wouldn’t exist in Egypt (or the other 4 locations around the world) without the ongoing support of Jim Sutter Mousa Wakileh Brent Babb at the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) , WorldFish Cairo University, Egyptian Poultry Producer Assn, our industry leadership council, and the financial support of US Soy farmers. From the bottom of my heart. Thank you to everyone who has worked with this program in the past five years. It is emotional to think of the lives that have been changed and friendships that have formed as a result of these courses. I would love to tag you all in my post, but it would be so long ❤️. If you are still reading 😊 please post your celebratory comments below. Thank you for a great five years! Sincerely, Tori Sorensen, Chairman

Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday. But what we honor at our Thanksgiving tables – access to delicious, abundant, nutritious food - is a shared human experience that crosses cultures and continents. At USSEC, our vision is to elevate U.S. Soy as a trusted, sustainable source of nutrition and energy worldwide. We recognize that global access to high-quality protein plays a critical role in the future of global nutrition security. Today in the U.S., we are taking time to reflect on all we have to be thankful for. Among so many other things, I am thankful for U.S. soybean farmers and the USSEC team around the world for their vision, leadership, and continued commitment to bring the abundance of the American Thanksgiving table to dinner tables around the world. #USSOY #nutritionsecurity
