We’re proud to announce that 555 California Street has officially achieved TRUE Certification for Zero Waste. TRUE Certification for Zero Waste is a leadership standard that helps facilities, organizations, and events measure, improve, and be recognized for their zero waste performance. It promotes sustainable resource management and reduction practices, with TRUE-certified projects diverting 90% or more of their waste from landfills, incineration (waste-to-energy), and the environment. This milestone reflects Vornado Realty Trust’s continued commitment to sustainability and a greener future.

Anthony Fisher Humanitarian Award recipients for visiting The Esther Ashkenas Central Park Early Learning Center which specializes in services for children with developmental delays ages 3 to 5 and the Walter and Evelyn Redfield Adult Day Center which supports adults with a wide range of activities. Vornado Realty Trust is proud to be recognized with a 2024 Better Practice Award from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Better Buildings Initiative. These annual awards celebrate groundbreaking and industry-leading achievements in advancing and promoting sustainable management practices, principles, and procedures. In 2022, Vornado achieved a 64% waste diversion rate across its portfolio and, building on this success, set an ambitious goal to expand its programs, including composting, across 85% of its office portfolio by 2025. As of September 2023, Vornado exceeded its target, reaching 100% organics program coverage across its office spaces in New York, New Jersey, Chicago, and San Francisco, encompassing over 34 million square feet.
