  • We’re sad to say a fond farewell this week to our founding Board member and erstwhile COO, Eddie Harrison FCICM. He joined us to deliver the shared vision of industry experts who wanted to do things differently, and one new law firm, one acquisition - more on that next year - and an integrated, data-led, scalable operating model later, he’s departing for pastures (and challenges) new, to take up an exciting role at Revolut! Thanks for everything Eddie!

  • A key part of our business strategy is investing in the things that make a real difference, and making change for the good. So this Christmas, rather than sending our beloved clients things that end up in their recycling bins, we’ve donated £500 to Radical Recruit, who share our belief that actions speak louder than words and will use the money to get people facing barriers into secure employment. This £500 has also been match funded by another £250 by Aviva, thank you Aviva! We’ve also donated another £250 in the form of toys to Cash for Kids' Mission Christmas, which brings toys to children who may not receive presents from anyone or anywhere else. (We then spent $4 on some e-cards of dancing elves with our heads on them, for our clients’ eyes only 👀 )

  • This Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month we’ve been focusing on the importance of supporting our colleagues' mental wellbeing, both inside and outside of work. At APN Group we know how vital it is to provide the right support, which is why we’re shining a spotlight on our Employee Assistance Programme, delivered in partnership with Health Assured. Our business is built around our people, so we offer free, confidential services to all employees, including 24/7 access to professional counsellors, legal support, financial advice, a wellbeing app and more. These resources are here to help our colleagues navigate any challenges they may face in both their personal and professional lives. Supporting our team goes beyond work. #MensMentalHealth #EmployeeWellbeing #MentalHealthSupport

  • We’re a team of industry experts that got together to do things differently. Our first step was to acquire one successful debt recovery and enforcement business (TRACE Enforcement Group) and build another (Moorside Legal ) to provide debt litigation services. 2024 has been action-packed, and it’s good to get our ducks in a row by extending our memberships including Credit Services Association and accreditations to Group-level, making it even easier for clients to know that they’ll get the same excellent service across our Group.

  • We're building our business around insights and expertise, so we're thrilled to have had so many people who know their stuff sharing their perspectives this roundtable. It was a pleasure to partner with Acquired.com and DebtStream, and special thanks to Nathan J H. for making us all look so snazzy.

How do we solve a problem if we don’t have the right information to start with? 🤔 This was the core question at our recent roundtable, hosted in collaboration with APN Group and DebtStream. It was a thought-provoking session that shone a light on some of the biggest challenges facing the collections industry today—chief among them, data quality and debtor engagement. Some of the things we talked about: ❓Alternative data sources and technological innovations. ❓Debtor education and engagement. ❓Tackling the stigma around debt and creating sustainable, affordable payment plans. The consensus was clear: collaboration, empathy, and innovation are key to transforming collections. Read our full write-up using the link in the comments 🔗 A huge thanks to APN, DebtStream, and everyone who joined us for bringing such valuable insights to the table 🤝 We’re already looking forward to the next discussion! If you’d like to be a part of future conversations, keep an eye on our LinkedIn page - exciting things ahead! 🙌 AJ Davison Martin O'Donnell Jess Dooley Eddie Harrison Nathan J H.

  • A huge part of building the business our clients want & our customers need it getting out there and *listening* to people. If you're a potential client of ours and you're not being listened to, get in touch with Mike Marrs IRRV. We'd love to hear your thoughts.

CEO Vice President, British Parking Association

Long old week for me so far. On Monday I had the pleasure of meeting Nick Rowe at the National IRRV Golf event, obviously letting Nick beat me. Tuesday I attended 'Parking & Transport Wales Conference' (on behalf of The British Parking Association), Friday I'll be in Cheshire visiting a NW client.. Appreciate for the 40+ amongst you, that probably sounded like terrible Craig David song. Yesterdays conference was exceptionally well attended, great to see & credit due to Peter Lowe, RTA Associates. Topics included - Parking Policy & Goverment engagement in Wales, How prepared are we for the A.I revolution and 'Where does the money go', Cash vs. Cashless. A great day was had by all, long drive from sunny Southend, but worth it. Always a pleasure catching up with Russell Simmons and Russell Hamblin-Boone

  • Our COO Eddie Harrison will be flying the APN flag on home turf (well, 30 mins from our Bradford offices) at the #yorkshirelegalawards tomorrow as a guest of the High Court Enforcement Officers Association - thanks very much Team HCEOA! When you haven't entered awards yourself it's customary to wish everyone who has entered equal good luck, which makes no sense to us. So instead: have a brilliant time everyone, enjoy celebrating your own and each other's successes.

One week until the Yorkshire Legal Awards which will be celebrating 25 years in association with LexisNexis Enterprise Solutions. HCE are proud to sponsor this year’s awards and will be presenting the Debt Recovery Award. Our team look forward to this evening every year as it gives our team an opportunity to dress up and celebrate other industry experts, make new connections as well as catch up with familiar faces.
