Facility Spotlight: Established in 1995, our 200,000 square foot Westerville, Ohio, operation produces steel and aluminum propane cylinders in a variety of sizes for uses ranging from gas grills to forklifts. Our Westerville team recently completed a significant project to help increase performance, limit downtime, maximize space and enhance safety. Facility superintendent Jonathan (JP) Pressly says, “The impact of this project goes well beyond tangible improvements. Our nearly 300-employee workforce benefits from smoother operations, reduced likelihood of unexpected downtime, and a safer environment—all contributing to an improved day-to-day experience.”

LAST CALL: High school seniors in central Ohio may still apply for our Spring 2025 manufacturing skills certification program designed to culminate with a job offer from Worthington Enterprises. Students earn a Certified Manufacturing Associate credential, which is an industry-recognized certification endorsed by the Ohio Department of Education and Ohio Department of Higher Education. Interviews are held in December. Student check-ins take place in January and February. Courses run throughout March and April. We’re proud to announce the creation of the West Africa Clean Cooking Fund to help transform practices in a region where more than 267 million people are still dependent upon traditional biomass fuels for cooking that are causing significant health issues, especially for women, and environmental challenges with deforestation and increased greenhouse gas emissions. The Fund will be accelerated by a $1 million commitment from The Worthington Companies Foundation and contributions from other organizations to help advance qualified projects that create the infrastructure, equipment and training needed for sustainable adoption of clean and safe cooking with liquid propane gas (LPG). We are still feeling the pride and energy from our great visit last Friday with our team in Jefferson, Ohio, where we make large heating tanks for our Building Products segment. Thanks to Katie Bolan and everyone in Jefferson for hosting us. These employees are crushing it by putting safety first with their proactive approach, staying laser focused on quality and setting production records.
