About us
The Tees and Hartlepool Port Users’ Association (THPUA) is an independent body representing Teesside’s shipping industry and the interests of its members. It exists to develop and promote the economical, efficient and effective movement of goods through the ports of Tees and Hartlepool in the interest of its members and their clients. One of the main objectives of the THPUA is the promotion of the River Tees and its business community to generate and maintain cargo flows via the Ports of Tees and Hartlepool. The THPUA exchanges information and coordinates activities among its 50 members, which are mainly companies and organisations involved in port operations, oil, chemical and steel support and logistics-related services. The THPUA members provide a wide cross-section of river activities including cargo handling, offshore, ship repair and private wharves, as well as the support services associated with a major port operation.

The MSSC Tyne Tees Branch identified an opportunity to improve the Cadet Experience for the Royal Marine Cadets by procuring a fit for purpose trailer filled with equipment. This would help the cadets develop their skills and fieldcraft training within the RMC Detachments in the North East of England. The THPUA team and our members were delighted to contribute to this fantastic effort. On 12th October the trailer and kit were presented and we had troops present on parade to receive the donation. An amazing effort from everyone involved! 👏
