It's that time of year when we celebrate, share gratitude, and give back. Since our beginning, 4Ever Young has partnered with Kids in Distress to provide valuable support for their initiatives. We thank our sponsors, franchisees, partners, and vendors for a successful year together. "Imagination is powerful. It allows us to dream of a future, to plan for success, and to create a vision of what life could be for families in South Florida. A community that takes care of one another in times of need knows that investment in imagination creates hope, and hope leads to great things." - Mark Dhooge, President & CEO, Kids In Distress. #KidsinDistress #4EverYoung

In recent years, there has been a significant societal shift in the traditional family structure, giving rise to the increasing prevalence of blended families. Blended families, also known as stepfamilies, are formed when partners with children from previous relationships come together to create a new household. This evolving family dynamic reflects the changing landscape of modern relationships, challenging conventional notions of what constitutes a "typical" family. #GBFamilyBizDay #FamilyBusiness

Launched last summer, the Investing in America Child Care Partnership aims to increase access to high-quality, affordable early childhood education (#ECE) in communities where a substantial number of residents are employed in manufacturing. Initiated by The David and Lucile Packard Foundation and The Kresge Foundation, the public-private partnership is bringing together leaders from the business community, government, advocacy groups, and funding leaders, including Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) like IFF that are uniquely suited to help maximize the impact of investments in child care solutions. This holiday season, we're proud to reflect on the difference SCAN has made in the community throughout 2024. By year-end, SCAN will have awarded a total of $1.3 million to support older adults across California, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and New Mexico. Here are some of the ways we're taking action as Rebels with a cause: • $1 million awarded to date to vital local services and community support for older adults, addressing nutrition, aging support, transportation, and other basic needs. • $270K to be allocated as part of SCAN's seasonal community giving program to support vulnerable older adults and strengthen communities where they live. • Funding of essential items like warm clothing, food, and hygiene products to older adults in need. • Support of local campaigns and social and specialized programs, including group and holiday-themed activities, designed to foster community connections and combat loneliness and isolation during the holidays.

Raising Kids with Heart: Because the Future Starts at Home Who said parenting is just about rules and routines? It's about building a foundation of love and trust that helps kids grow into independent, confident individuals. Every child deserves more than just a place to live- they need a home where they feel valued, supported, and encouraged to chase their dreams. Think of it like planting a tree. When we water them with care and patience, they grow deep roots and reach new heights. Here's the secret: When we nurture our kids AND take care of ourselves, we create a ripple effect-building a brighter, kinder world. + Give them space to explore but guidance to feel secure. + Encourage curiosity and mistakes-they're just part of the journey. ++ Be present and celebrate the little wins-it makes all the difference. Raising kids isn't just about who they'll become, but about the love we invest today to shape the future we all share.

Aisha Nyandoro is a real one. Through skill, care, consistency, diligence, and common sense, she has been and is making a change in the lives of Black mothers accessible. Her organization, Springboard to Opportunities, has proved that the way out of poverty is giving women cash to self determine what they need. Imagine putting money in peoples hands so they can get what they need. May this country learn from Aisha‘s leadership! The nonprofit industrial complex is a barrier to the social mobility Charlotte says it wants. Reganomic trickle down theory DOESNT WORK to create social change. It has only worked to further ensure the economic imbalance of eliminating the middle class. It’s time to put a moratorium here in Charlotte on task forces which primarily serve to circulate the money and power within a select handpicked group of people who create the TF. The group serves themselves to enhance social capital, resume building, and job promotions primarily for those who work on and within the TF. Springboard to Opportunities is social proof that if Charlotte decided not to divert the millions (since the inception) spent on retreats, marketing, consultants, and overhead and put the cash raised, directly into the hands of the people, the outcomes of improving people’s lives would have been attained. Give Black and Brown mothers the cash to self determine what they need. Give Black and Brown mothers the cash to self determine what they need. Give Black and Brown mothers the cash to self determine what they need.

Seeing myself on the cover of TIME is nothing short of surreal! 🌟 Growing up, my Granny always had a copy of TIME on her dining table and C-Span playing on the kitchen television. Thank you, Granny, for the blueprint; I have Next (Y’all like what I did there? #TIME100NEXT) 😂. To have Springboard To Opportunities’ advocacy efforts and groundbreaking work with the Magnolia Mother's Trust profiled for the world to celebrate is beyond my wildest dreams. This profile captures the incredible impact we are making in demonstrating the power of cash without restrictions, transforming narratives of deservedness, and reforming policies in service of creating systems that finally work for all of us. This post is in celebration of the innovators of the Magnolia Mother’s Trust, the first 20 mommas that I had the privilege of dreaming with when we launched this work in December 2018. I simply asked these women to “dream with me,” and because of the trusted community relationships, they gave me the honor of trusting me with their dreams. These women told us what they needed. All we did was LISTEN; all we did was BELIEVE them. Without these mommas trusting in what seemed impossible, none of this would be. Today, I celebrate that you are listening, too. I am honored, and I am beyond grateful. My God, My God, look at how you continue to bless. #GuaranteedIncome #MagnoliaMothersTrust #TIMEforCash #TIME100NEXT
