They promoted the SIG and Academy of International Business (AIB) by highlighting the extensive impactful research the community has been conducted. Along with Sung-Ah K. of European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Bilha Ndirangu of Great Carbon Valley, Nadia Paleari of UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network, Emily Barran of Climate Action Platform for Africa (CAP-A), and Amelia U. Santos-Paulino, PhD of UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), they spoke about actionable plans to make international trade an important vehicle for achieving climate positive growth. How are industry sectors managing their transition to sustainable development? Our 2024 Sustainability Leaders survey with the ERM Sustainability Institute asked experts to rank industries in their country or region. I have been on the journey of sustainability for some time - much of which was triggered by an assignment on #Decarbonization of hard-to-abate sectors a few years back. The assignment got me to the deep end and helped me understand the real commercial, technological and policy enablers and blockers that need to be worked upon to scale and sustain cleaner alternatives. The climate angst and hunger to develop a more well-rounded view on the challenge got me to enroll in Terra.do course on Climate Action - a course I highly recommend to everyone and anyone even if you don't want to actively participate in climate action. Working on some of the sustainability projects made it clear that to convert intent to action, I need to go deeper in a few areas and get my hands dirty with a real-life project. That's when I came across a year-long #Sustainability certificate course from #MIT that provides access to some of the most rigorous materials but more importantly is centered on a year-long project where you take it from idea to implementation. Today, I have successfully completed the first of the 5 modules and am super stoked about working with a global team on the project centered on converting Crop-residue to #Biofuel for South Asia.
