Earlier this month, the US Government Accountability Office published their most recent review and recommendations report for maternal health. One of their observations is that maternal health disparities continue to exist despite efforts to remediate. https://lnkd.in/eet4Fr4j Yesterday, National Perinatal Information Center highlighted that 13% of maternal deaths occur on the day of delivery. While many maternal deaths occur between 42 and 365 days after delivery, opportunities to improve inpatient maternal outcomes continue. What is your organization doing to identify disparities in maternal outcomes? Does your data disaggregation provide context into birth #equity? And what actions do you take based on those findings?

While stillbirth rates have decreased from 5.08M in 1990 to 3.04M in 2021, it remains a significant global health issue—especially in countries with low development status, finds new #GBD2021 study.
