We're delighted to announce that Addresscloud is a Silver Sponsor at InsTech’s Exponential Risk London 25 - bringing together the users of catastrophe, climate and exposure analytics from around the world. 🌍 Exponential Risk is a new, two-day conference hosted by InsTech, dedicated to addressing the evolving needs of the global catastrophe and climate modelling community. Here’s a quick look at what’s in store: 1) A focus on education and learning - what do people who are using models or model results need to understand about the way models are built and how this impacts how you use them? 2) What is the effect of short term and longer term climate changes on catastrophic risk and how do you manage this in your role? 3) Collaboration and connections have been an important reason for the success of the underwriting, modelling and aggregation community. This event is a chance to meet 350 like-minded people and learn from and with them. To make it even easier for your teams to join, InsTech is offering buy 2, get a 3rd for free on delegate passes if you register by 29th November. 🔗Curious to find out more? First rule of startups is to maintain a monk-like focus on a specific customer in a specific market. At ClimateFirst Building Solutions, we’re building climate risk management solutions for the people that own and manage commercial real estate assets… Because they’re the people experiencing the most immediate and painful effects of climate change on buildings. But they’re not the only ones impacted. It’s like dropping a stone in the pond, the ripples start to spread out to other stakeholders over time… Tenants, insurers, lenders, investors, regulators, etc. Have been spending a lot of time lately thinking about how our toolstack will change and evolve as the ripple of impact spreads, and a more diverse set of stakeholders starts looking to ClimateFirst to understand climate change risk. If you’re someone who sits in one of those outer rings, would love to chat and hear your story! #ClimateFirst #RWDI #Risk #Climate

I'm very proud to tell you all about Beehive. Beehive is Enterprise Climate Risk Management software, helping our clients measure their financial exposure to climate disasters, mitigate losses, and write TCFD reports to comply with investor requests and global legislation. The pitch is simple. There is $100b of economic loss each year in the US due to climate disasters, 40% of which is uninsured. If companies are losing that much money, they need a software platform to measure and mitigate those losses and prepare for the dozens of annual disasters that hurt your business, like this weekend's devastating Hurricane Helene. And with global regulation requiring TCFD reports from tens of thousands of companies in the next 3 years, generative AI can save companies tens of thousands of dollars in consulting fees and months of work while offering a better product. Much more coming in the future. In the meantime, if you're at a tech or services company with >$500m in revenue, you should call me because you need this. Watch the video to hear the story of starting Beehive and our vision for Enterprise Climate Risk Management. #climaterisk #esg #tcfd #founder #startup

Thank you Peter and to my fellow presenters for an insightful and enjoyable event! Some of the key takeaways for me included: ***** CPS230 & Third Party Suppliers ***** - importance of nurturing a reporting culture with our third parties - Have your Plan A, Plan B, Plan C - risks dont stop at your front door ***** CPS230 & Crisis simulation ***** - is important - need to consider what happens on Day 1 but also Day 2, 3, 4 and further - we should operate with confidence as an ecosystem and as a collective industry notwithstanding there are competitive elements ***** Risk Intelligence ***** - the superannuation industry has some catching up to do with the Banks - regulators collect a lot of data however if you use your data right you will detect issues before the regulator does - the super sector is evolving and has many priorities to deal with ***** Financial Accountability Regime ***** - super funds should have started their compliance journey already but resources may be deployed on priorities such as CPS230, Retirement Income Covenant and Privacy The PFS Team will provide more guidance on FAR soon!
