FROM TECHNOCRACY TO EVOLUTION The EHMA European Health Management Association congress has just ended. A gathering that represents the best of management research in healthcare systems. These were the main topics: People-centred systems Health technology and digital transformation Workforce of the future Sustainable and resilient health systems Healthcare access, delivery and outcomes. As ASSOCIAZIONE ITALIANA DI HEALTH COACHING® we had the opportunity to present a poster on the Human-Tech model showed for the very first time at our Meeting Lab 2023. It was interesting to discover that other researchers have identified the need to develop human potential as the real recipe for generating progress from innovation, as well. In this, the models for creating the new health management leadership must be rethought. As Italian Health Coaches we hope to be able to contribute with our capacity for empowerment to the acceleration of this process of professional growth and educational upgrading. Hopefully bringing some papers in EHMA Rennes 2025 in collaboration with Universities or Public Health Institutions!!!

Insightful study; its findings closely align with the regional disease burden, underscoring the pressing need for enhanced primary healthcare services. Encouraging the integration of AI and remote patient monitoring (RPM) in managing NCDs and mental health conditions could significantly reduce service gaps by improving early detection and continuous monitoring.
📢 New Study Alert: I am excited to share our latest study, conducted by experts from the UNDP, World Health Organization UN Inter-Agency Task Force on NCDs (UNIATF), WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO), University of Birmingham Dubai, University of Limerick, Gulf Health Council, and Six Ministries of Health in The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC), and published in BMJ Economics of primary healthcare: cost estimation of clinical services at primary care facilities in the six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council https://lnkd.in/dNvPeEyU #Key #Findings: 💰 #Cost #Drivers: The clinical services currently delivered at Primary Care facilities cost the GCC about $6 billion annually. General practice, child health, and non-communicable diseases (NCDs)—especially diabetes, cardiovascular, and respiratory diseases—are the main cost drivers. 📊 #Economic #Impact: The cost of these selected services represents less than 0.4% of the combined GDP of the six GCC countries in 2019. 🚨 #Service #Gaps: Over 8 million individuals did not receive NCD screening services at PHC. Over 30 million individuals did not receive necessary mental health services in PHC facilities. 📈 #Recommendations for #GCC: 1. Strengthen the PHC workforce 2. Expand NCD prevention and screening services 3. Scale-up mental health services 4. Enhance regional collaboration and policy coherence 5. Invest in research and monitoring of PHC Khalifa Elmusharaf, Sébastien Poix, Daniel Grafton, Johanna Jung, Rebecca Gribble, Rachael Stanton, Lamia MAHMOUD, Deena Alasfoor, Tayba Alawadi, Mohammed Mustafa, Lulwa Shuwaiter, Mohammed S Alsuwaidan, Zahir Al-Abri, Sultana Al Sabahi, Sherif Fadda, Hassan Raza Syed, Muneera Almutairi, Yahya M Al-Farsi, Yahya Al-Farsi, Nick Banatvala, Dudley Tarlton #Healthcare #PHC #GCC #HealthEconomics #PublicHealth #MentalHealth #NCDs #HealthInvestment #Research Interested in studying MPH, apply now https://lnkd.in/dU6F7kCe

Long time coming!! Just want share our recently published paper, titled "Development of a prioritisation framework to aid healthcare funding decision-making in health technology assessment (HTA) in Australia: application of multi-criteria decision analysis", in Value in Health! During my time at Griffith University, I had the privilege of collaborating with an exceptional team (Son Nghiem, Mel Miller, joshua byrnes and Paul Scuffham) for this research. Our study focused on developing an innovative prioritisation framework using Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) to enhance healthcare funding decisions in Australia. Key Highlights: MCDA Framework: We created a comprehensive framework that integrates multiple criteria and stakeholder preferences to guide health technology assessments. Stakeholder Preferences: Our findings reveal that Australian policymakers prioritise 'Patient-Level Health Outcomes' and 'Social and Ethical Values' over cost considerations. Practical Utility: This framework offers a transparent and cost-effective decision-aid tool, supporting informed healthcare funding decisions and resource allocation. A huge thank you to the Centre for Applied Health Economics (CAHE) and all the participants who contributed to our preference survey and pilot study. Your insights were invaluable in shaping this research. I am incredibly proud of this achievement and look forward to seeing how our work can influence healthcare policy and funding decisions in Australia and beyond. 📖 Read the full article here https://lnkd.in/eZcAuWEF #Healthcare #Research #MCDA #HTA #HealthcareFunding #GriffithUniversity #ValueInHealth #Collaboration #Innovation
