This mode can be confused with Shunting Mode. Shunting Mode is a simpler mode and requires less infrastructure. OS Mode is a more complex mode and requires more infrastructure and provides more support to the driver and is considered a safer mode. OS Mode is more suitable for complex shunting operations and use in areas such as construction and maintenance sites. However Shunting Mode is a suitable option for basic shunting operations. Imagine that there is a locomotive in block but there is a spare place for parking extra locomotive and we are willing to park two locomotives in this track. We can active OS mode for this progress. Efficient #shunting processes are the basis for efficient #railfreight transport. So it's a good thing that special #coupler, such as our type 55, are available for this purpose. The coupler developed for #locomotives enables automated train formation and ensures, for example, that the train can make its way to its destination station on time. Automatic couplers also make the demanding work of shunting personnel much safer. We have designed the coupler especially for use under heavy loads and in harsh environments. How does railroad crossing work? 🙂 A low-voltage electric current is sent between the two rails via a series of relays like the ones in this photo. When a train approaches, the current runs through the train's metal wheels and axles instead of the relays. This "short circuit" activates the crossing signal. What is railway flange? 🙂 The primary function of the flange is to keep the train wheels aligned with the railroad tracks. It helps maintain the proper position of the wheels on the rails, ensuring that the train moves in a straight line and negotiates curves without derailing. How do railway points work? 🙂 These are movable rails that allow trains to move from one running line to another. Points are normally controlled by Signallers, not train drivers, and can move at any time. Depending on the direction you're looking, points can be either facing or trailing. What is a stock rail? 🙂 The fixed rail in a railroad track against which the switch rail operates.
