The cancellation of Groovin the Moo highlights the challenges of hosting events in the current Australian market space. Despite being a beloved festival, GTM had to cancel due to insufficient ticket sales, a first in its 19-year history. This loss affects young Australians who lack exposure to big acts outside major cities. The festival's cancellation reflects a broader trend in the industry, with other high-profile events facing challenges and cancellations. Rising operational costs, changing audience behaviors post-COVID, and competition from international acts impact festival viability. In this environment, the support of businesses like Field Mining Services, Darymple Bay Coal Terminal, Mackay Regional Council, GE Maintenance Solutions, The Grazing Goat, Payne Print, and others is crucial for sustaining cultural events like Rhythm and the Reef in North Queensland. The commitment of these companies to the 2024 event demonstrates the importance of financial and in-kind donations in nurturing regional cultural development. Despite the obstacles, Rhythm and the Reef is steadfast in its mission to provide a vibrant and enriching experience for its attendees, showcasing local talent and contributing significantly to the local economy. And yes, we’re 100% returning for 2024

The Power of a Door Greeter 🚪✨ First impressions are EVERYTHING—and at events, it all starts at the door. Infiniti Connects™ 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆 was a resounding success, marked by a good turnout and a dynamic blend of professionalism and camaraderie. The event started with an engaging icebreaker, injecting a lively spirit as members described their businesses through song. 🎤 Laughter and positive vibes reverberated, creating an atmosphere of shared enthusiasm. The introduction of member presentations added a touch of formality, allowing participants to showcase their businesses in a structured manner. 📊 This new avenue underscored the diverse talents within our community, fostering deeper connections and understanding. It was a testament to the wealth of expertise and knowledge that defines our collective strength. As tradition dictates, February birthdays took centre stage, bringing an element of celebration and unity to the occasion. 🎉 The joyous festivities underscored our commitment to building meaningful connections beyond business, creating lasting memories for all. The event seamlessly transitioned to networking, where business cards exchanged hands, solidifying the connections forged during Discovery Day. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗶𝗽 𝟬𝟭 If you find yourself procrastinating about curating your event, trap yourself by making certain entanglement moves. Let me explain: you're more likely to hold the event, whether physical or virtual, when you've already sent an invitation, confirmed the speakers, or booked the venue. The idea is to take certain key steps that make it harder for you to want to consider the thought of "I nor wan do again." You get the idea, right? Bonus tip: If you feel overwhelmed by the idea of the event, take time to imagine often that the event was a success and you made it happen. Let me know if you found this helpful. #theaisosa #eventmanager #eventtips
