The Council of Europe's commitment to gender equality and protecting women's rights is crucial, and it's encouraging to see the critical achievements of cooperation projects with beneficiary countries highlighted in 2023. The emphasis on training professionals and implementing new policy frameworks aligned with international standards is a positive step towards ensuring accountability and safeguarding human rights. It's an essential reminder that the energy of all involved and informed authorities should be directed towards immediately returning children safely home and sanctioning human rights violations on the spot.
