#1 biggest event mistake? (risk impact, time, and $$$) Using events to collect emails NOT close deals. Obsess over "butts in seats" and attendance? Your event can turn into just another expense for the CFO. When are potential clients most accessible? During events. Only here you find them out in the open, waiting to make deals. Use your event for the goldmine it is for driving opportunities and ROI. Strategies to turn your event into a revenue generator: 1. Tailored matchmaking & demos You have all of the attendee info. Enrich it with 0 party, 1st, and 2nd party data. You have lots of info products, exhibitors / your own. Match the buyers with the best possible solutions. Facilitate communication: messages, calls, demos 2. Pre-event initiatives Kickstart conversations with smaller, local pre-events. Initiate the deal-making process. Create bulletproof community. 3. Sealing deals on-site You’ve set the stage with matchmaking and introductions. Now utilize main event for deep prospect engagement. This is your moment to close deals. (Exciting!) Matchmaking, pre-event, on-site deals to unlock event potential. Events should fuel your sales pipeline, not just fill seats. Quality leads and conversions >>> just numbers What’s one tip you’d add to getting the most out of your event? #eventprofs #b2bmarketing #eventtech

Last week changed my views on attending conferences as a woman in sales. I'm sold. 🤯 When I applied to be a speaker at the Revenue Enablement Society's conference, I'll be honest... I didn't realize it was in person. I love hosting workshops, but I also have horrible stage fright & haven't always had the best experience attending large in-person conferences before covid. - I hate small talk & networking feels strained - There's often a glaring lack of diversity - The events mainly focus on drinking This was different. - I had such deep, meaningful conversations - I was able to meet LinkedIn friends IRL! - I had my first Michelin-star dining experience with fellow sales witches And my session? A FULL HOUSE (actually breaking a few fire codes) that led to incredible conversations about how to measure soft skills in a way that drives hard results. Oh... and all of this while I LOST MY VOICE & could barely speak well enough to lead my session. Thanks to everyone for making this such a special event. And for those who connected, geeked out, gushed about books, dreamed about sales, & everything in between with me! 🤗 Who's enjoying conferences even more these days?? #sales #saassales #salestraining #salesenablement #motivation
