I recently did a quick analysis for one of my clients, putting the German trade shows they attend in a matrix: I looked at the number of exhibitors, the main product groups represented at the shows, the number of trade visitors plus the economic sectors (%) they represent, and some other information. The matrix served as a tool to better understand what to generally expect from particular shows and to streamline pre-show activities. This is a quick and easy exercise if you know where to get the data from. You can use the AUMA - Association of the German Trade Fair Industry database free of charge. However, to get the right "feel" for a show, you need to go visit. This is why I quite often attend shows, even when they are not (yet) particularly relevant to me. If you're looking for more tips on how to break into the German market, feel free to follow me. I'm always happy to help out in any way I can. https://lnkd.in/dtspyay
Thanks a lot for recommendation Andra! „To get the right feel for a show“ - sounds great. Its basically for #exhibitionsuccess
