"Inch by inch, life's a cinch. Yard by yard, life is hard." -John Bytheway Discipline, consistency and focus build gradually if we take just 'one day at a time'! It's been 15 weeks since I started my fitness journey which just began as a New Year resolution. It has increased my energy level, made me more focused and active and increased my overall happiness. I think that indulging in hobbies and fitness activities outside work at least for 1 hour everyday is really important for improving motivation and mental health. What do you think? #motivation #worklifebalance #fitness #discipline

On this #NationalStretchingDay we share some of the benefits of stretching. 🏃♂️ #Flexibility: Stretching can help increase flexibility, which can help prevent injuries. 💪 #Strength: Stretching can help improve strength. 🧎♀️ #Rangeofmotion: Stretching can increase the range of motion in your joints. ❤ #Circulation: Stretching can help enhance circulation. 🧠 #Mentalwellbeing: Stretching can help promote relaxation and mental wellbeing. To increase flexibility, research suggests that consistency is more important than duration or intensity. It's better to stretch a little bit each day rather than stretching once or twice a week for a long time. Even 5–10 minutes of stretching at a time can be helpful. Happy #stretching!

Just as physical health is crucial to your overall well-being, so is mental health. When you’re in a good mood, you’re most likely to exercise and eat right. But when you’re feeling down or anxious, it’s easy to let stress and low self-esteem take over. Instead of resorting to unhealthy habits of overeating, drinking, or smoking, you can work on exercising your mind instead. Exercise isn’t just good for the body – it can also benefit the brain. These are some of the exercises you can practice daily to overcome stress. #SudamShelar #exercise #physicalexercise #mentalhealth #workout #eatinghabits #stress #yoga #running #hiit #meditation #swimming #mentalhealthexercise #brain #exercisedaily #goodmood #mentalhealthawareness #mindsetmaters #healthyheart #mentalhealthsupport #yougotthis #motivation #discipline #dailyexercise #superfood

Autumn is nearly here! Make the most of the remaining summertime and spend some time in nature – and if you’re up for it, why not add some activity! Spending time outdoors has a positive impact on our mental health and can help us feel calmer and less stressed. This can be as simple as going for a walk in the park or the woods. Any amount of time doing this is good for us, but to really get the benefit, try to spend an hour or longer – when you can really connect with nature and immerse yourself. Exercise is also a great way of dealing with anxiety, so add some activity to your time outdoors and get the additional benefit. Activity doesn’t have to be vigorous; try some gentle stretches, yoga, or a gentle walk. If you are able to step this up and run, swim, or take part in a fitness class that’s great. Any amount of exercise will help. #wellbeingwednesday #projecthealthyhabits

Did you know having a home gym was good for your mental health too? Here are 3 psychological benefits you can only get from training at home: 1) No anxiety of going out. Even if you don’t realize it, it’s stressful out there, and going out affects your training and well-being. 2) Calm and peace of mind. Exercise is one of the best forms of meditation and stress relievers… Only if you’re not surrounded by a crowd, grunts, metal clangs, and treadmill sounds! 3) No rush. You don’t need to hurry up because you don’t need to go anywhere. And you definitely won’t have to worry about being “back home late”. These are the “Big 3” for a sound mind. And that’s half the battle if your ultimate purpose is a sound mind in a sound body. 🧘 ~~~ Follow me Nicolas Sart to learn everything about home gyms and training.
