The Philippines' state investment arm, the National Development Company (NDC), addresses delegates from 18 countries to talk about its Cleantech pipeline:
Davao Thermo Biotech Corp.
Cyclion's waste-to-fuel tech of Philip Major from Australia endorsed by the Australia Philippines Business Council
Ozone tech environmental toxic and medical waste disposal from Joshua Rueben Aragon
And others: Waste Gasification tech to efficiently convert landfills to electric power with minimal residue; Waste Conversion using Sonic technology; and Vaccine waste disposal.

What if they are partnered with the largest composting facility in Japan, Kyoko? So we invested there so that we can scale this across the Philippines. So this is our primary clean tech project, the next one. It's OK, we can. The next one is from Australia. It's it's unique. The first thing we did, I talked to the lawyers and checked the patents. So they're sickly on. I don't, I don't know if you have time because this is quite an innovative technology first in the world. They have a a very short video. I don't know if you would let's come back to it if we have, maybe later, maybe later, but basically unsegregated waste, bio waste and non bio waste. It doesn't need the materials recovery facility. You just put it in the system and then they they come out with diesel fuel and sustainable aviation fuel stuff. But it's still in the pilot stage. So and then the Exos, so it doesn't need the smokes to activate. They run it through algae tax and so the carbon dioxide is converted into oxygen. So basically that's the system. That's the second one and then we have a an we're looking into. Investing in this ozone solution company for waste management. Next slide and then next slide. Because there's a lot of landfills, garbage is a huge problem in the Philippines. Even if I go through all these solutions there, it's not going to be enough to solve the waste problem. So I'm, I'm, I'm trying to invest in all of them. Next slide, next slide. And we are putting up the first vaccine plant in the Philippines or we're gonna, we're gonna have to take care of the waste that comes out of that plan. Next slide. I think that's the last one. 🔈 European Parliament and the Council reached a provisional political agreement on the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA). This agreement will help the EU become home to clean technologies and make significant strides toward building a solid domestic manufacturing capacity for those technologies in the EU.
🔊 The agreement will allow to:
✳ Create a simplified and enabling regulatory environment for clean tech.
✳ Accelerate CO2 capture and storage in the EU.
✳ Facilitate market access for net-zero products.
✳ Support the development of net-zero skills and innovation: Net-Zero Industry Academies.
❇ The Act foresees the creation of a Net-Zero Europe Platform to serve as a central coordination hub, fostering information exchange to facilitate the implementation and supporting investment initiatives throughout the EU.

Horizon Europe’s Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) recently opened a call for proposals for 2024, with €213 million to be distributed to innovation, research and support projects across 18 topics.
From turning vegetable oil into new products to using microalgae as feedstock, the project aims to boost Europe's competitiveness in bio-based industries and make them greener. It is the second iteration of the partnership, with a greater focus on circularity and sustainability, following the success of the 2020 project.
