🚀 Exciting Developments in Sustainable Biomethane! 🌱 I recently came across an insightful paper by Air Liquide and WWF France that outlines a comprehensive framework for sustainable biomethane production. This collaboration marks a significant step towards greener energy solutions. Here are the main takeaways: ⚡ Efficiency in energy transition: the framework emphasizes optimizing plant efficiency and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions throughout the biomethane value chain. Biomethane is crucial for securing local, storable energy supplies and reducing reliance on fossil fuels. 🌳 Promoting agroecological practices: by partnering with local farmers, biomethane projects aim to reduce dependency on chemical fertilizers and enhance farm resilience. The implementation of sequential crops and the use of digestate as a fertilizer are key components. ♻ Circular economy and ecosystem benefits: the framework respects the waste hierarchy and focuses on developing local, circular projects. Minimizing waste, optimizing resource use, and fostering long-term, balanced partnerships with local stakeholders are essential strategies. 🐢 Environmental and biodiversity protection: ensuring safety and operational excellence, the initiatives aim to prevent soil, water, and air pollution. The framework includes robust traceability systems, quality checks, and sustainable practices to protect biodiversity and maintain ecological balance. This framework is intended to be a living document, continuously evolving through collaboration and feedback from industry experts and stakeholders. It’s exciting to see such pioneering efforts in creating a sustainable future for the biogas sector. For those interested in sustainable energy solutions and the future of biomethane, this is definitely worth a read! #Sustainability #Biomethane #EnergyTransition #CircularEconomy #Agroecology #AirLiquide #WWF

🎉Happy Earth Day from VALZEO!🌍 🌾🎉At VALZEO, we're passionate about innovative solutions for a sustainable future. This Earth Day, we're celebrating our commitment to transforming rice husk waste into powerful environmental remediation tools.🌍 🌾 🔥Turning waste into opportunity: Rice husk ash (RHA), a byproduct of rice production, is a major environmental concern. Traditional disposal methods like incineration pollute the air and surrounding areas.🌍 ⭐️💡VALZEO's solution: We're developing composite materials using RHA as a raw material. These materials will be embedded with metal oxides and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) to: 💡Purify water: Remove contaminants like pharmaceuticals, pesticides, dyes, and microorganisms. 💡Produce biodiesel: Through a catalytic process, contributing to renewable energy sources. 👌Beyond innovation, fostering collaboration: VALZEO is committed to knowledge sharing. We're promoting researcher exchange programs between participating institutions to: 💡🤝Share best practices and knowledge Spark innovation 🤝🌍Build a global culture of sustainable practices 👬👬Join us in creating a greener future! We're looking for talented researchers to join our mission. Stay tuned for upcoming opportunities and follow us for more updates on VALZEO's impact .🌾🎉🌎 #EarthDay #Sustainability #WasteManagement #GreenTechnology #VALZEO know more about VALZEO 👉(https://lnkd.in/drdM9MvQ

Today is World Water Day 2024. Discover how Capsum is committed to the sustainable management of water resources. 💦 Solar Water® is Capsum Austin’s is our best commitment to managing water resources. This unique and proprietary sustainable water is naturally salty water that is extracted on site at a depth of more than 1200ft, then purified on site, thanks to a solar-powered desalination station, and finally, used as the main ingredient in cosmetic production at our manufacturing facility. 🏆 In 2023, Capsum received industry recognition by being awarded the Innocos x Beauty Heroes, Blue Beauty Ingredient Innovation Award for our Solar Water®. This incredible project was ingeniously conceived by Capsum visionary CEO, Sebastien Bardon, and successfully implemented by our tenacious team. 📉 In France in 2023, Capsum reduced its water consumption by 16% while maintaining double-digit growth (+46% in SKU production). The optimization of each process and the implementation of a cold-water loop proved to be very fruitful. 🌱 In Austin, we opened our Precision Indoor Farm in 2023. The purpose of this farm is the on-site cultivation and extraction of plant’s active molecules highly concentrated thanks to adjusted growth parameters. Compared to traditional field farming, this method helps save up to 95% of the water used to grow plants. 🤝 Finally, Capsum has financially supported the Pure Ocean association, which supports ocean research! An essential mission knowing that the ocean faces some of the greatest threats - climate change, acidification, pollution, destruction of biodiversity, etc - while representing 97% of the space available to life, producing 50% of the Earth's oxygen and absorbing 25% of CO2 emissions from human activities. Water is a precious resource. Let's preserve it in as many ways as we can ❤️ #Capsum #beautyindustry #waterday #sustainability
