High-tech2Sense (H2S), a team in Tech4Planet’s portfolio, is leveraging advanced spectroscopic methods to develop a new generation of sensors. These compact, portable devices are designed to detect toxic gases like hydrogen sulfide in real-time, even in complex matrices such as natural gas. H2S’s technology utilizes advanced photoacoustic spectroscopy, offering a wide dynamic detection range and enhancing safety in industrial workplaces by accurately monitoring gas emissions. Tech4Planet is the National Technology Transfer Hub for environmental sustainability, launched by CDP Venture Capital SGR in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano. It involves Politecnico di Torino and Politecnico di Bari as Scientific Promoters, plus PoliHub - Innovation Park & Startup Accelerator, I3P - Innovative Companies Incubator of Politecnico Torino, and BINP - Boosting Innovation in Poliba as Technical Partners. We can`t do this alone; collaboration across borders is more important than ever. Therefore, I`m happy to present a study by Ocean Autonomy Cluster (and an incredible NTNU student, Frida Hesby Lunder) this year, partly funded by Trøndelag fylkeskommune. We have studied 59 testbeds/-sites across Europe, sorted them into three different categories, and made a suggestion of whom Trøndelag and Testination could collaborate with.
