🗯️ “Partnership is the new leadership.” Last week we exhibited at North America’s largest conference for the Advancement of Clean Transportation (ACT Expo) in Las Vegas. The conference drew over 12,000 stakeholders, 2700+ fleet operators, and put more than 200 advanced vehicles on display, making it clear that the industry is not slowing down. Here are our key takeaways: 🔄 The Transition is Here Decarbonization is no longer a choice but a necessity. The transportation industry is united in its responsibility and opportunity to reduce carbon emissions AND decrease costs. 🔋 The EV Industry is Still Young Electrification is leading the charge, but challenges remain. While we work to make EV more cost effective, the industry can’t ignore other alternative fuels and innovative solutions to continue lowering emissions. 🏗️ Infrastructure is CRITICAL The mass adoption of electric vehicles hinges on having sufficient infrastructure. The industry has made great strides so far but we still need more! 🤝 We Must Come Together Peter Voorhoeve of Volvo Trucks North America said it best, “Partnership is the new leadership.” Collaboration is key to driving innovation, securing funding, and developing resilient policies and infrastructure. Circularise had the pleasure to host the Compass Horizon EU consortium meeting 🤝 Over the two days, the project partners have gathered to review the progress and discuss the next steps of the initiative. The meeting at the Circularise office in the Hague brought together 23 people from multiple partner organisations. The participants shared status updates on use cases for remanufacturing of composite and metal sheet parts, key insights on the digital product passports and explored pathways to identify the business potential of project’s innovations. 🌟 The European Project TREASURE conclusion 🌍 We are happy to announce the success of the TREASURE project (Leading the TRansition of the European Automotive SUpply chain towards a circulaR futurE). A few days ago, the project consortium held the last review meeting with Vessela Stoyanova-Monteleone, part of European Research Executive Agency (REA), where all the project results were presented, marking the successful conclusion of this journey. 🚗♻️ Coordinated by Politecnico di Milano, TREASURE brought together 15 organizations from 6 EU countries and 1  extra-EU country (Switzerland), each contributing unique expertise and knowledge. "That’s correct! During the first session, we’ll discuss sustainability reporting, focusing on a collaborative project between RISE and FKG related to climate declarations. I’ll explain how we’ve developed these climate declarations and what they entail. Alongside me, representatives from the Swedish Institute for Standards, SIS, and FKG will contribute. Additionally, we’ll have a political debate. So, we expect different perspectives on this topic, perhaps even on sustainability in general." "The second seminar focuses on raw material supply as a vital component of the value chain, particularly in relation to the automotive industry. A prime example is batteries. Although we are currently setting up significant facilities and operations for battery production, the critical raw materials required are not easily accessible. The key issue is how to ensure a stable supply of essential metals and minerals. A hot topic, following the recent passage of the Critical Raw Materials Act on May 23." You'll also be part of a dialogue centered around health and life science.  What is it about? “The discussion will focus on sustainability within life science. Traditionally, patient safety has been the highest priority, sometimes overshadowing other issues. However, we’re now witnessing a shift – both in terms of interest and policy.
