Nature Has the Best Playbook for Innovation Big problems don’t need loud solutions; they need smart ones. That’s why the Shinkansen bullet train story is one of my favorites. When engineers encountered the issue of a loud BOOM whenever the train came out of tunnels, the answer wasn't found in advanced technology but rather in the sleek beak of the kingfisher bird. This redesign of the train not only addressed the noise issue but also enhanced its speed and efficiency. This story is a brilliant reminder that the solutions to our most difficult problems are often right in front of us, just waiting for us to analyze the data and approach it from a new perspective. I had the opportunity to share this fascinating tale in my new short video, Bullet Train Breakthroughs Inspired by Nature. A huge thanks to InsightJam.com for hosting it and Ryan Dalley for getting it there! Watch the full story and see how nature and data collide to accelerate innovation. https://lnkd.in/erKaMkqA Here’s my challenge to you: What unconventional sources of inspiration have helped you solve complex problems in your field? Share your thoughts below; I’d love to hear your story! #WhatPerezSays #UnleashingFirepower #Innovation #DataStorytelling #Leadership #ProblemSolving #NatureInspired

Self reflection for 5-10 minutes helps the brain to being to the table ideas that you could not have thought about if you have back to back meetings. I found it useful to put them as one of the points of meeting minutes afterwards for others to see as well. But in general to #change the way I think Harvard Business Review I had to sacrifice productivity for a bit before getting back to efficiency, dealing with #Asana after retrospective on the most challenging meeting or client's feedback. I usually ask myself "What could I have done better? What question (or research) could help me understand my client better? Did I forget anything and why?

This article greatly demonstrates that those with extraordinary (and maybe more diverse minds) see the world differently and thus become great innovators As leaders in the world of RnD we have to ensure that our people have the freedoms nd the psychological safety to see and feel the world differently Rory to become extraordinarily creative #leadership #neurodiversity
