Last year marked a record-setting milestone for the wind industry, with 117GW of new capacity installed worldwide – a staggering 50% increase from #2022. 🚀 This unprecedented growth signifies the dawn of a new era for wind #energy, spurred by the ambitious targets set at COP28, where global leaders committed to tripling renewable energy by #2030. The momentum is global, with 54 countries across all continents contributing to this surge. Looking ahead, #GWEC has boosted its growth forecast for 2024-2030 to 1210GW, reflecting a 10% increase due to robust national policies, the expanding offshore wind sector, and dynamic advances in emerging markets.
