Tip of the Week: Creating a Strong Password Creating a strong password is your first line of defense against cyber threats. Here are some tips to ensure your passwords are robust and secure: 1. Use a Mix of Characters: Include uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters (e.g., @, #, $). 2. Avoid Common Words: Don't use easily guessable words like "password" or "123456." 3. Make It Long: Aim for at least 12 characters. The longer the password, the harder it is to crack. 4. Use Passphrases: Combine random words to create a memorable but strong passphrase (e.g., "PurpleDuck!Jump$42"). 5. Don't Reuse Passwords: Use unique passwords for different accounts to limit exposure if one is compromised. 6. Update Regularly: Change your passwords periodically and immediately if you suspect a breach. 7. Use a Password Manager: Consider using a password manager to generate and store complex passwords securely.
