This week on #FLEXIWednesday, we’re highlighting the #environmental #benefits of biotechnological production in contrast with traditional methods. With a focus on reducing #waste, minimizing #emissions, and optimizing resource use, #FLEXIZYME is leading the way toward a more #sustainable #future. Reduced Greenhouse Gas Emissions 🌱: biotechnological processes operate under mild conditions, reducing both energy demand and GHG emissions. At FLEXIZYME, we are committed to cutting emissions by at least 30% compared to conventional production. Less Toxic Waste and By-products 🚯: biotechnological processes use natural or engineered enzymes that are biodegradable and non-toxic, leading to safer by-products and lower waste generation. This aligns with our goal to reduce production waste by 40%. Resource Efficiency and Waste Valorization 🔄: biotechnological production at FLEXIZYME utilizes renewable resources, including fat and protein-rich residues. Lower Energy Consumption ⚡: biotechnological methods operate at ambient temperatures and pressures, consuming far less energy than traditional high-temperature, high-pressure processes. The #environmental #impact of production processes is crucial as industries aim for greener and cleaner solutions. FLEXIZYME’s biotechnological approach not only reduces emissions and waste but also promotes the use of renewable resources, positioning us as a #leader in sustainable fatty amine production. Together, we’re setting a new standard for responsible and eco-friendly production methods that benefit industries and the environment alike. 🌍 This project has received funding by the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking (CBE JU) under Grant Agreement No 101157528.
