War clouds are gathering around the world and time is running short. The US Army and Marine Corps currently lack the equipment, tactics, techniques and procedures (TTP) to effectively counter enemy drones at the tactical level when facing a peer enemy. It is crucial that we explore all available options and take immediate action, rather than waiting for perfect solutions that may not arise for another decade. What is your smoke plan to defend against drones?  Using multi-spectral smoke is an immediate option. Leaders must consider how smoke and other obscurants fit into the CUAS fight. Consider this article that explains how our allies in the Republic of Korea are planning to create a multi-deimensional defense against enemy UAS.
