Want to know which companies offer paid internship and which do not? Here is a free database by the interns and for the interns. Not only stipend, it also covers, which companies offer meaningful internships. And also prior experience. Hopefully, this will turn out to be very helpful if there are enough and accurate data. And this has to be continuously updated. So, if you are an intern or have completed your internship recently, please contribute to this by filling up the survey form (link in the comments). Everything is anonymous, so don't be afraid. Please mention the name of the company because only then it's going to be helpful. And if you are looking for interns, do refer to this database to see which companies you would like to intern with. (link to the database in the comments too.) Plus I urge you all to take ownership of this and spread the words so that we can build a large database of how internships work in Nepal. Feel free to repost this in your network, so that more people can contribute to this. I know the number of interns or people seeking interns in Nepal may not be using Linkedin much but do spread the words by sharing the form links and the database in other social media.

EMPOWERING EMERGING PROFESSIONALS: A GUIDE FOR INTERNS AND YOUNG ENTRY-LEVEL EMPLOYEES   In Botswana, many tertiary students will be completing their final year of study between the months of May and June thus a wave of them will be preparing to embark on their professional journeys, transitioning into various roles within the workforce. Some will be stepping into internships, volunteer positions, or more permanent roles.   I hold a deep appreciation for young professionals, the unemployed job-seekers, and those commencing their careers. Throughout this April, I am committed to offering valuable insights tailored to support this demographic as they embark on their professional trajectories. Having been fortunate enough to receive guidance and support along my own journey, I am eager to extend this support to others.   One of the roles I have held is that of Youth Department Director where I was overseeing five very distinct programs that catered to young people in the North West region of Botswana. One of the programs was the Daniel Internship Program that aimed to equip young participants invaluable on-the-job skills during the transitional period between completing secondary school and entering university, a roughly eight-month interval in Botswana.   Here are four essential skills we cultivated for their professional success: ·     Confidence: Cultivating a sense of assurance in the abilities you possess and believing you can get the job done. Overcoming shyness and bolstering self-esteem are on-going endeavours regardless of one’s career stage. By actively challenging oneself and embracing opportunities for growth, interns can develop the confidence needed to leave a lasting impression. ·     Effective Communication: This can be in simple ways such as active participation in meetings, doing away with “text-lingo” and learning how to communicate professionally (both verbally and in written form). ·     Solution-Oriented Thinking: Believe it or not, this can be learnt. Embracing a positive and proactive mindset toward problem-solving distinguishes exceptional interns. Harnessing creativity and innovation, interns can offer fresh perspectives and propose viable solutions to challenges encountered in projects or programs. ·     Enthusiasm: Despite the demanding nature of internships, showcasing unwavering enthusiasm is pivotal.
