In today’s industrial world, safety is paramount. The PSRmini coupling relays from Phoenix Contact offer a compact and reliable solution for safely isolating and monitoring signals. Our PSRmini relays are the world’s narrowest safety relays, with a width of only 6 mm. Despite their compact size, they offer the same performance as larger relays and ensure maximum safety with force-guided contacts. They are TÜV-certified and meet the requirements up to SIL 3 according to IEC 61508. Another important aspect is the ATEX and IECEx certification, which allows their use in hazardous areas. This ensures that our relays operate reliably and safely even under extreme conditions. Additionally, the PSRmini relays have maritime approvals, making them ideal for use in the maritime industry. These approvals ensure that our relays withstand the demanding conditions at sea. Thanks to integrated diagnostic functions such as proof testing and line-load monitoring, plant downtime can be minimized, and operational safety increased. The easy installation and small footprint make the PSRmini relays the ideal choice for modern automation solutions. Learn more about our innovative safety solutions and how they can make your applications safer and more efficient. #functionalSafety #Industry #IEC61511 #PhoenixContact #CouplingRelays #SIL3 #Automation #ATEX #IECEx #Maritime

Some key points to consider when installing an HMI in Zone 1, #Safety_Standards_Certifications 1. Ensure the HMI is certified for use in Zone 1 hazardous areas, ATEX (Europe), IECEx (International), or FM/CSA (North America). 2. IP rating (typically IP65 or higher) to protect against dust and water. 3. **Temperature Ratings match the environmental conditions of the installation site. #Installation_Guidelines 1. Use intrinsically safe enclosures designed for Zone 1 environments to house the HMI. 2. Ensure all connections maintain the integrity of the explosion-proof rating. 3. Grounding is crucial to prevent static discharge. #Location 1. Position of HMI sh should be easily accessible for operators. 2. Ensure the screen is easily visible under various lighting conditions. 3. Mount the HMI at a height and angle that allows comfortable and safe operation. #Power 1. Use intrinsically safe power supplies. 2. Ensure that any connected devices or networks are certified in Zone 1. #Inspection Schedule regular inspections to ensure the integrity of the HMI and its installation. #Documentation Keep detailed installation records, including certifications, wiring diagrams, and maintenance logs. #Training Ensure that personnel involved in the installation and maintenance are trained in handling and maintaining equipment in hazardous areas.

🤔 Did you know that Ex certification isn't just for electrical equipment? It extends to mechanical equipment, too. 🛰️ For example, even drone rotor blades might need ATEX certification because of the potential for static electricity generation. 💲Certification costs vary based on equipment complexity and the zone it's intended for, for example, high-risk zones (Zone 0/20) typically cost more to certify than lower-risk zones (Zone 2/22). Ex certification is an intricate and nuanced process. At JCE Group, we support our clients with specific certification requirements for various types of equipment and hazardous environments. 👀 Stay informed and ensure your equipment is certified correctly and if you are not sure – get in touch with our experts. #ATEX #EXsafety #HazardousAreas
