The European chemical industry and 1000+ organisation leaders across Europe, greatly appreciate the European Council's recognition of our call for an urgent response to secure EU’s industrial competitiveness. We welcome their openness to work with stakeholders to build Europe’s industrial policy. This is a strong step forward, but more is yet to come. At the ACHEMA 2024 Opening on 10 June, German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Dr Robert Habeck, and thought leaders from the financial sector, the chemical industry and suppliers pointed out how the process industry is positioning itself within new global framework conditions.
