Big News! Enerpoly's Zinc-Ion Battery Megafactory Opens in Sweden Today marks a big step forward for sustainable energy! Enerpoly, a Stockholm-based company, has just unveiled the world's first zinc-ion battery megafactory. The 6,500 square metre Enerpoly Production Innovation Center (EPIC) in Rosersberg, Stockholm, is set to transform the landscape of renewable energy storage. By 2026, EPIC will reach a production capacity of 100 MWh annually, with commissioning already underway and production slated to begin in 2025. This new facility aims to co-develop market-ready battery solutions with customers and conduct large-scale pilots for commercial, industrial, and utility applications. This progression is set to significantly accelerate the adoption of renewable energy across Europe and beyond. Enerpoly acquired advanced dry electrode manufacturing equipment back in July 2024, further enhancing its production capabilities. This step is designed to lower costs, reduce waste, and minimise energy consumption.
