The Increasing Equitable Access to Heat Pump Water Heaters paper by Advanced Water Heating Initiative (AWHI) shares methods for overcoming barriers to adopting heat pump water heaters (HPWHs) in low-to-moderate income households and disadvantaged communities. The goal is to ensure they can benefit from the long-term energy savings, emissions reductions, and financial benefits that HPWHs provide. This paper was created in collaboration with AWHI’s equity-focused task group and co-organizers from New Buildings Institute, Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP), and Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance.
