What does it take to deliver an integrated electronic medical record (ieMR) across rural and regional health facilities in Queensland? Look at some of the stats involved in delivering our ieMR Hub and Spoke Project 👇 The project is partnering with Hospital and Health Services to implement ieMR functionality at peripheral sites (spokes) where their main hospital (hub) is already live with the system. Last month, Collinsville, Charters Towers and Moranbah hospitals went live with the ieMR, marking the 19th, 20th and 21st spoke sites for the project. Cairns Hospital also went live with advanced ieMR functionality, a significant achievement for the health service which will enable the region's spoke sites to go live with ieMR in 2025.   A big thank you to everyone involved in the latest go-lives 👏 The project was also recognised at last month’s eHealth Queensland Staff Excellence Awards, where the team received the Deputy Director-General Award.

We're delighted to see the success of the 'Bedside Intelligent Cabinet' trial getting recognition in The Scottish Parliament. 👏 The #SmartTech, developed by IT solutions firm Kinetic-ID with the support of NHS Grampian and the NHSG Innovation Hub, empowers patients and carers to self-administer medicines during hospital stays, encouraging independence and self-care in a safe environment whilst improving knowledge and understanding of medication. 💊 The self-administration of medicines has been an ongoing challenge for hospital pharmacy staff and was a main talking point at 'Beyond Surgery: Robotics Assistance in the NHS Workplace", an ideation event we co-hosted with the NHS Grampian Innovation Hub in the summer of 2022, attended by healthcare professionals and tech companies, including Kinetic-ID. 🏥 Full story at ➡️ https://lnkd.in/e5CEsjmw Heriot-Watt University | Heriot-Watt GRID | Data-Driven Innovation Initiative | Lisa Farrell | Lorna Cameron #robotics #HealthcareRobotics #HelpingPeople #collaboration #engagement

Staff and patients are benefiting from cutting-edge technology at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, where an average 10,000 interventional procedures are performed within the general interventional suites themselves. The Heartlands Treatment Centre (HTC) opened in January 2023 and features multiple Philips systems, including two Azurions with FlexArm. Following the service improvements seen in HTC, two further Philips Azurions were installed at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham within the last twelve months. Both of these projects have replaced older technologies, improving patient diagnostics and treatments whilst supporting multiple clinical teams to work seamlessly during interventional procedures. #healthcare #partnerships #NHS

We are pleased to announce that ANZICS CORE, in partnership with QUT (Queensland University of Technology) and Playtime Solutions, has received funding under the Australian Government’s National Clinical Quality Registry Program to develop and implement innovative tools to help identify ICUs that may be at risk of being outliers. This ‘ICU Forecast’ initiative is a change in approach, moving from a reactive to a proactive framework in managing ICU outliers.
