It was an absolute honor and pleasure to attend the annual Actuarial Society of Zimbabwe convention this year where the theme was Actuaries as Strategic Partners: Building a sustainable financial ecosystem for Zimbabwe. To have been a part of such an event where like minded people connect and interact is not to be taken for granted. The Actuarial Society of Zimbabwe Convention organizing committee is pleased to invite expressions of interest to present papers at the upcoming 10th Annual ASZ Convention to be held physically between the 27th and 28th of June 2024 in Harare. This year’s convention theme, "Actuaries as Strategic Partners: Building a Sustainable Financial Services Ecosystem for Zimbabwe" aims to provide a platform for discussing emerging issues in the actuarial profession and their long-term impacts. Interested individuals should submit abstracts of proposed topics no later than 10 May 2024, on the following email: secretary@zimbabweactuarialsociety.org.zw. The proposed topics will be shortlisted considering the relevance, originality of the work, specific results described and potential impact on the actuarial professionals practicing in Zimbabwe. Further guidance on the selection process is as provided in the attached document.
