So my name is Rashid David Muntaha and developing an Amex. I work as the movement Strategy and execution Associates. Yes, I've heard of it. And a lot of the time is during my work as a youth advocate, this was like, you know, it's like our Christmas for us. But for me, the 16 days of activism is an opportunity to run together. Young people as people in this space, as you've advocates, I see that advocates to just bring to the forefront and some of the issues that especially relevant for young people are facing and more into the aspects of adolescent girls and young women. It's an opportunity to each and every day have a different team that allows you to break it down even further. It's, you know, think about faster. It's about being involved in staying and we look at the numbers. You see the data and the detailing of the young people are the ones that we dominate you, you know, contributing to the number of new HIV infections both in Kenya and also globally. You'll see that adolescence is the leading cause of death amongst adolescence is AIDS related deaths. So globally that's the leading cause of death. So it allows us to just each and every day. Pick a theme, break it down even further, look at the different systems that exist, what's predicating us to look at this as a problem and what are the solutions that exist. It's also an opportunity to go beyond what is local and look at the global arena because, you know, there's something I'd like to say here, developing economics, locally LED but globally connected. And so what's happening in other spaces that we could actually tap into, you know, to find solutions. To some of the problems that we're trying to address. So this role, its movements strategy and execution, let's focus faster in advance. I think if we're thinking about movements and movement building is the aspect of bringing together people who are connected either by a social issue to find solutions that we can all rally around. And so my role, that's development and I'm it's about my builder is why should we continue working in silence? GBV is not a new issue. It's something that has been there from time ago and until now. It's still something that you know, we are facing and trying to find solutions for where you get into the OR you go to the ground and you find these organization acts and organization and organization Z that are all responding to one facet of what is the whole conversation around gender based violence. But they're not speaking to each other. And so as my organization, I have, I'm reaching 15 girls. And organization, why is reaching the same 15,000 but with a different topic? And so you find when I'm reporting injury reporting and saying, ohh, we reached 30 girls, but in reality it was the same 15. And so movement building now brings in the concept of how do we work together and leverage our strengths, our resources and even just the solutions that we have in order to have maximum impact in order to be able to go to spaces where I generally wouldn't go, but you have the access to it. Or you have the access to the community that you have the access to policymakers. And so how do we leverage our different strengths in order to have one solution or multiple solutions, but are able to not only be skills, but also be impactful to the community that we're starting. And so it's really just around creating the strategies and the tenants that allow for that to happen in the best and most organic way possible. And with movement building now comes aspect. How do you create the strategies for these movements to not just start, but stay up and exist and have longevity and even see themselves growing 5101520 years beyond just this time? So really every day it's trying to define, understand and see what are the different ways in which we can encourage people to collaboratively work together in order to really, just, as I said, maximize impact, that maximize growth and be and have and have solutions working at scale. Whatever it is that you're looking at. Easy and healthy. Things like this beating economic, economic growth. Will find that women and girls are always vulnerable. The picture that is out there that even in the starting there's a risk and you have 4 to 5 minutes starting from the starting line and then you have the lady who is pushed behind. But we expect them to be at power with us and so. It's it's at and what this does is there's a whole aspect of power. There's a whole aspect of who really holds or has the say at the end of the day. And so we are in a society which is a fixed finally, given that the traditional African society was mainly matriarchal, women were the ones who were the head of the households, but we came into this whole aspect of colonization. And it shifted into patriarchy and we've been models and been put in a space where we really think that that's the norm and that's the end of or that's just business as usual. And because of that, now the repetitive cycle of gender based violence continues to happen. And even with our generation, the younger generation where we think this is something that we are, you know, fighting or speaking against or finding solutions to, it's just very inherent in us because that's not. Household items that we see in our neighbourhoods, you know, coming back to Kenya and it's sad that we earlier this year we had a match at our femicides and then massive and 3-4 months later the numbers are just again, it's, it's unfortunate that this is a conversation that you are 21st century with people who are woke and understand what's happening and are connected through the Internet to each other on a global scale. But this is something that we scale. Talk about it's unfortunate when you see global politics are gonna play just the other day where in Afghanistan the Taliban were saying a woman's voice should not be heard. You know, in crowds. So you see, as we grow older and smarter, we really are just becoming Dumber. And so it's a conversation that needs to continue to happen, and it's a conversation that needs to be LED more by men than anybody else, I think, because as I mentioned, men hold power. Men are seen as the figures of authority and so if we were to be able to find a way to package information that men can be the leaders of it and and and not do it from the top, but from the bottom in communities having coca barazza. Bodoh terus minum aku bilang. And my company is lying. Talk about humania husband ABC D This is how it ought to be. This is equality and equity even in marriage, even in the just spousal responsibilities. It's important so that we stop seeing or stop talking about the vulnerabilities that women and girls are facing in in different societies. And we stop talking about this case in family science. You know, it's very unfortunate we stop living in a space where. Either way, that's all. There is variation as this is a man's world, but it wouldn't be nothing without a woman at all. And so I think in a nutshell, that's really where we worked to put on my system and shift our mindsets to really thinking about or working or towards.
