What are the biggest challenges and opportunities offshore in the shift to renewable energy? The North Sea holds tremendous potential for energy production. However, one key challenge in the green transition is optimizing regions such as the North Sea for energy production while respecting the environment and other industries that depend on it. The Danish Offshore Technology Conference 2024 will share insights into the North Sea's potential for the transition to renewable energy and the climate targets in 2030/2050. It will also discuss which technologies will drive the offshore energy transition and how Denmark and Europe can expand offshore renewable energy, tackle challenges, and reach the goal of exploiting the North Sea's full potential. Gain new knowledge and be inspired by keynote presentations from Ditte Juul Jørgensen, Director-General for Energy, European Commission, Lars Aagaard, Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, and Katrine Thomsen, Head of Division, The Ministry of Climate, Energy and Utilities, Henrik Stiesdal, CTO and founder, Stiesdal, Andreas Jagtøyen, SVP for Renewable and Low Carbon Business Cluster, Equinor, Ole Hansen, CEO, TotalEnergies Denmark E&P, Amalia Pizarro Alonso, Energy Technology Analyst, International Energy Agency (IEA), and Malene Rod Vest, Programme Director, DTU Offshore. Explore research, review data, and discuss results in technical deep-dive sessions in areas such as Offshore Energy Infrastructure, Subsurface Storage of CO2, Marine Environment, and Offshore Water Management. Presentations are from both academia and industry, e.g. Ørsted, Alfa Laval, GEUS, and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners. Additionally, the conference provides great networking opportunities with the Brella 1:1 matchmaking tool and the always popular poster session.
