How many interview stages should there be? This is something I discuss quite often, as I deal with multiple companies that all do interview stages differently. One stage interviews: Offers speed, simplicity, and convenience, making it a preferred option for candidates. Reduces the risk of losing that perfect candidate to another company. The time frame is significantly less from start to finish of the whole process compared to three stage interviews. Three stage interviews: Allows for a more in-depth evaluation, providing a better view of the candidate's potential and fit within the company. From my experience in recruitment, I think having two stages maximum seems to be the perfect amount for both the candidates and the company. If done right, this gives enough time to learn about the company/ individual in stage one. Then time for the technical skills/capabilities and the project in the Final stage before getting to the offer.
