When I pivoted my career after a 30 year life designing exhibition stands, I thought the hardest part would be learning how to build a business from scratch all over again. It was a long time ago since I had done it. But it wasn’t. The hardest part was redefining who I was without the title, the structure, and the safety net. For months, I wrestled with imposter syndrome. I kept asking myself: Who am I to start something new? Who am I to work with amazing women? Who I am I to start again at 55! The turning point came when I realised that my years of experience weren’t just transferable—they were the foundation for everything I wanted to build. If you’re struggling to see your own potential, I want you to know this: You’re not starting from scratch. You’re starting from experience. Drop a DM me if you are ready to explore how to design a career that’s fulfilling, aligned, and unapologetically yours. ----------------------------------------------------- I’m Suzy Malhotra, a business consultant and coach helping ambitious women align their ambition and redefine success on their terms. What would you say if you were asked ‘why do you love what you do’. For me it is simple, having impact. Making a real difference to other women’s businesses but importantly their confidence and positive effect on their lives. It is a pleasure to be able to do what I do. And I am so grateful to the ladies who trust me. And I now have my dream business. I chose who I work with. I choose when I work. I choose who I spend time with. I am thankful every day to be where I am. Which is why I want to give ‘choice’ to anyone I work directly with. But also in my wider world of influence too. I work with amazing women who are super passionate about what they do. Being able to share my knowledge, experience and expertise from a toolbox built over 30 years is fantastically rewarding. Seeing the ripple effect is incredible too. As I watch those powerful women support, inspire and cheerlead each other. What truly lights my fire is seeing the impact. Having my own successful small business gives the ability to mentor other local small business owners to do the same. Local because I only work face to face. Where the energy in the room is so much stronger and helps me be more effective as I can gauge reactions and comfort levels. And importantly make sure no one is left behind. My corporate career was my training ground to what I do today. Who knew working for over 25 years with those big brands would enable me to show other women how to achieve the income and impact they deserve. Plus a further 5 in growing a small business where I have choice. If it sounds like something you want to know more about, please message me ‘impact’ so we can chat 😊 Ps glimpse into last weeks shenanigans. From art classes to groups of incredible ladies and lunches (of course has to be done) 🤣

Can I show off a moment? As girls, we're taught to keep quiet, not show off, not make ourselves the centre of attention. That's why, as women, we can find it hard to speak up, to claim the 'I' of what we achieved (rather than putting it down to luck or a whole team effort), and to celebrate our brilliance. One of the things I LOVE about my Career Confidence programme is helping women to claim and celebrate their achievements. We need to get bolder at this. So, to show you I totally practice what I preach, here's mine... I am THRILLED to have been announced as a finalist (one of only four!) in the Best Business Women Awards for Best Coach. So, if you want to combine a bit of coaching with your Career Confidence programme, you can sign up for the 'Elevate' ticket. This includes two coaching sessions with me as well as life long membership to Career Confidence. It's a win-win! Only a few Elevate places are available on each group, so don't miss out. We start in September. https://lnkd.in/dJREGKya Jane x PS Do you work with a woman you know to be totally awesome, but they sometimes just can't see it for themselves? Tag them here; let's lift each other together. #careerconfidence #showoff #claimyourachievements #quietthehive

Advice for women in their 20s and 30s "People get to where they want to go because they know where they want to go. Most people don’t know where they want to go.”- Oprah Winfrey If you’re in your 20s or 30s and not where you want to be yet, it’s time to get clear on your direction. Here's how to make Oprah’s wisdom work for you: Step 1: Get Crystal Clear on What You Want ✍️ Actionable Tip: Grab a notebook and answer: “What exactly do I want in my career, relationships, or personal life?” The more specific you are, the better. Example: Instead of “I want a better job,” try “I want to lead a marketing team at a mission-driven company within 2 years.” Step 2: Align Your Choices with That Vision 🔗 Actionable Tip: Every decision, no matter how small, should bring you closer to that goal. Ask yourself, "Does this move me toward my vision?" Example: If your goal is to be financially independent, prioritize learning about investments or upskilling to increase your earning potential. Step 3: Surround Yourself with the Right People 👥 Actionable Tip: Audit your circle. Are the people around you pushing you to be better or holding you back? Example: If your goal is to start a business, join a network of entrepreneurs or attend industry events to connect with like-minded individuals. (Ex. Attend Miss EmpowHer events ) Step 4: Break Your Big Goals into Small, Achievable Milestones 🎯 Actionable Tip: Once you have a big vision, break it down. What can you achieve in 3 months, 6 months, or a year that will move you closer to that end goal? Example: If you want to switch careers, start with small steps like enrolling in a relevant online course, networking with professionals in your desired field, or updating your resume. Step 5: Stay Consistent, Even When It’s Hard 🔄 Actionable Tip: Success is about consistency, not perfection. Set small daily habits that align with your long-term goals. Example: If your goal is to become healthier, start by committing to 15 minutes of exercise a day rather than waiting for the “perfect” time for a gym session. Step 6: Invest in Yourself 💡 Actionable Tip: Don’t hesitate to invest in your education, skills, and well-being. Whether it's online courses, therapy, or personal coaching, see these as investments, not expenses. Example: If you want to level up in your career, set aside money for a professional development course or attend conferences to expand your knowledge. Step 7: Reflect and Adjust Regularly 📅 Actionable Tip: Set aside time monthly or quarterly to reflect on your progress. Are you still moving toward your vision? Do you need to adjust your plan? Example: Journal your wins and challenges each month to understand what's working and where you need to pivot. ♻️Repost if you found this helpful Follow Caitlyn Kumi and Miss EmpowHer for more personal and professional development content.
