ESG Adria Summit’s Post

According to the latest statistics from the World Economic Forum, between 75 and 199 million tons of plastic are currently floating in our oceans, most of which originates on land. By capturing this material for recycling, we can reduce pollution and ensure valuable resources are used again and again as part of the circular economy. Our bronze partner at #ESGAdria2024, TOMRA Collection Srbija, knows how to tackle packaging waste. TOMRA’s reverse vending solutions collect over 45 billion used bottles and cans every year all across the globe, significantly reducing resource demand and minimising the trash that makes its way into our oceans, streets, rivers, and landfills. TOMRA Collection Serbia is a part of TOMRA, the global technology leader that provides solutions for enabling the circular economy with advanced collection and sorting systems, and food processing by employing sensor-based sorting and grading technology.  Altogether, TOMRA has approximately 105,000 installations in over 100 markets worldwide. Through its solutions, TOMRA is transforming how we all obtain, use, and reuse the planet’s resources to enable a world without waste. TOMRA’s solutions help address sustainability challenges related to resource scarcity and depletion, unsustainable consumption, climate change, urbanisation, and waste in nature. For TOMRA, sustainability is about maximising the positive impact enabled through their solutions, while reducing any negative environmental and social impacts from their operations or value chains. We express our sincerest gratitude to them for joining us in Tivat and bringing their reverse vending machines to aid us in minimising the waste at our event!! Join us on 24-26th of April. It’s time to Get in the Loop! 👉 summit.esgadria.org ESG Adria Summit is organised by Sustineri Partners and Porto Montenegro, in partnership with the Government of Montenegro and under the auspices of the President of Montenegro.  #TOMRA #ESG #ESGAdria #SustainabilityChampions #Recycling
