We’re excited to participate in “All-algae Textile Fibres (ALLGAE)” project, kicking off next week! ALLGAE focuses on developing algae-based textiles by combining seaweed by-products with algae dyes, replacing fossil-based materials with algae solutions 🌱 The project is led by Chalmers Industriteknik in partnership with: RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Houdini Sportswear, Manatee Biomaterials and us, funded by Formas, ett forskningsråd för hållbar utveckling. #Biomaterials #Algaedyes #Algaetextiles #Innovation
“PHA has great potential, especially if we can strengthen the value chain. Companies need large quantities and supply security, which we can only achieve through good cooperation throughout the value chain.” Says Sytze Keuning, board member of BIO Cooperative and part of the EMPHATI project. This project is all about taking the steps towards further development of biodegradable plastic PHA (polyhydroxyalkanoates) in Northern Netherlands and Northern Germany. By fostering collaboration among leading organizations and companies, they aim to address global plastic challenges and accelerate the creation of sustainable products through feasibility studies, practical research, and pilot projects. 🚀 The goal is to strengthen the entire value chain to ensure large-scale production and supply security. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eYJbhNqU Daan van Oldeniel Campus Groningen Marlies Schipperheijn Frank Köster Linda Dijkshoorn #Sustainability #BiodegradablePlastics #Innovation #EMPHATI #GreenTech
