Reablement in France?! 🇫🇷 Today I had the opportinuty to talk at the FNAQPA Geronforum meeting in Strasbourg. Many thanks to Didier SAPY for inviting us to talk about this important Philosophy of care. 💡 France seems still very medically oriented, instead of thinking in capabilities of older people 💡 The SELF-program may help also French care professionals in talking up the reablement mindset 💡Reablement can help in tackling challenges of ageing populations and staff shortages, similarly to the Netherlands, however, the benefits for clients of reablement should be at the forefront of initiating this approach, not merely as a response to these challenges Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences Lectoraat Wijkgerichte Zorg Academische Werkplaats Ouderenzorg Limburg Care And Public Health Research Institute (CAPHRI) #reablement
