Did you know there are other EU-funded projects focused on microcredentials? ✨ Microcredentials - A New Path for Capacity Building in VET ✨ 💡 In the modern world, where the pace of change and technology is accelerating, vocational training is undergoing a major transformation. Microcredentials, certifications that validate specific skills and knowledge in a short period of time, have become an essential tool for updating and acquiring specific skills quickly and efficiently.   🚀 Microcredentials have several advantages, such as flexibility and accessibility, allowing individuals to acquire them at their own pace. Their practical approach eliminates non-relevant information, enabling more directed and effective learning. Additionally, their adaptability and recognition in the labour market are essential in a world where the demands of companies change rapidly.   📈 For this reason, there are increasing efforts and projects aimed at acquiring them. Besides our project MIC4VET, there are other initiatives on this mission, such as “Microcredentials - A New Path for Capacity Building in VET” [MC.VET] under the Erasmus+ programme.    🔊 This project aims to strengthen the link between EU and non-EU countries of Southeast Europe (Western Balkans) to support the relevance, accessibility and responsiveness of VET institutions and systems, to changes in the working market. The kick-off meeting for the beneficiaries of the Call, ‘Social Innovations for the Upskilling of Vulnerable Youth, Especially Young People Not in Employment, Education, or Training (NEETs),’ will take place online tomorrow! 🚀 What benefits will participants gain from this kick-off meeting? ‘Skills development in innovative and creative ways is crucial for EU NEETs, and this will be the focus of the 20 best-selected projects. Participants will benefit from the support and inspirational insights of an experienced practitioner in skills development. They will also receive guidance from the European Competence Centre for Social Innovation team to ensure a strong start to their projects. 📚 Our latest #AnnualReport delves into the achievements reached by projects led by ENSIE, addressing a various range of challenges. 🎯 2023 marked significant milestones such as integrating low-skilled individuals and those from disadvantaged backgrounds and disabilities into the European Year of Skills. ENSIE launched the Roadmap for the Blueprint on WISEs in Europe and actively contributed to the EU Talent Pool dialogue for third-country nationals. 💡 The #BWISE project partners mapped the WISEs context at the national level, producing comprehensive country fiches and pivotal documents like the Report on Occupational Profiles and Universal Training Curricula. In the framework of the #NetWorks project our efforts led to the launch of the MOOC “Networks of work-based adult education providers capacity building,” enhancing collaboration and networking within the WISEs sector. Also, key resources like the FAQ Collection on network creation and the Guidebook on external communication were published. 🤝 Moreover, the #BREED project supported social economy development through transnational social missions, providing strategies and insights for local ecosystems. 🌟 Exciting News from ISIG! 🌟 We're thrilled to share our active role in the presentation and contextualization of the Council of Europe's EduRes Toolkit, an innovative framework designed for Education at Times of Emergencies and Crisis. 📚🌍 The EduRes toolkit, initially piloted in our very own Regione Autonoma Friuli Venezia Giulia - the first pilot region in Europe - is a pioneering effort to foster resilient educational ecosystems. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to quality education and inclusiveness, ensuring effective learning even in crisis situations. ISIG researchers proudly promote this initiative, building on the foundation laid here in Friuli Venezia Giulia. Our involvement underlines the importance of local expertise in shaping international educational strategies and supports the implementation of the Council of Europe Education Strategy. 🗓️ This April, in Vienna, our team participated in a peer exchange where the toolkit's potential for Albania was discussed. This is part of our ongoing effort to extend the toolkit's reach and adapt it to diverse educational landscapes across Europe. 🌍 New Policy Recommendations from Greece: Strengthening Participatory Democracy through Local Engagement As part of the #HECSOs #Erasmus+ project, recent policy workshops in Volos, Greece, gathered local experts and stakeholders to discuss enhancing community participation in decision-making. Here are some of the key recommendations: 🌐 Boosting Cross-Border Cooperation: Encourage collaborations across higher education institutions in Europe to build resilience, tackle socio-economic challenges, and promote sustainable futures. This enhances the integration of digital and green transitions through shared knowledge and innovation. 🤝 Fostering International Partnerships: Build lasting global alliances to empower students, researchers, and lifelong learners. Digital transformation in education will make cross-border collaboration more inclusive, even for rural communities. 🏢 Supporting Local Enterprise Zones (UEZs): Establish UEZs at universities across Greece, creating spaces that connect academia with industry, drive job creation, and address local skill needs. 📈 Strengthening University-Employer Partnerships: Develop sector agreements between universities and industries to meet skill demands, foster local growth, and expand career opportunities within Greece. 🗣️ Enhancing Public Engagement Standards: Ensure inclusive, transparent public consultations, enabling communities to actively shape policy.
