📣 We are pleased to announce that we have secured up to $1 million in funding from the Low Carbon Economy Fund (LCEF) to support #ClimateAction and pave the way for a #NetZero future in #Ontario. ♻️ This investment will help CHEO install two new heat pumps and update their heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units to recover and reuse #waste heat. ⚡ CHEO can largely eliminate their current reliance on existing natural gas-fired equipment and move to electricity sourced from the lower-emitting Ontario grid. This will reduce the hospital’s power costs and reduce an estimated 25,660 tonnes of #GreenhouseGas emissions by 2030. Children, and future generations will be the most affected by climate change. We must step up now to protect their future. Learn more about today’s announcement ➡️ https://ow.ly/wI1150RATGT Discover the Low Carbon Economy Fund ➡️ https://ow.ly/zx1R50RATGU #ClimateActionGC

Meridiam, as majority shareholders of Voltalis, are proud to play a continued role in driving clean green growth across the UK. Voltalis has reaffirmed its mission to transform the UK’s energy landscape by developing 5 GWp of demand response capacity—helping up to 2 million homes and businesses cut electricity bills by on average 15%, while boosting grid resilience and stability and advancing the UK’s clean energy goals #EnergyTransition #InfrastructureInvestment #GreenGrowth #SustainableInfrastructure #ForThePeopleAndThePlanet
Fantastic to speak last night at the UK launch for Voltalis who have set out ambitious plans for up to £1bn of investment in the UK market, building on their role as the European leaders in demand response services. These plans will offer a significant boost to the energy transition and the growth ambitions set out by Government this week, so it was great to also be joined last night by Minister for Industry Sarah Jones. Meridiam, as majority shareholders of Voltalis, are proud to play a continued role in driving clean green growth across the UK. Read more about Volatlis' plans at https://lnkd.in/emnEsJmu

Today marks the meeting of ambition and delivery in a forward approach to our seas, in partnership, and at scale. The Marine Delivery Routemap report sets a course for the nation's systems level planning needed in our seas and coastlines to deliver an energy transition, nature recovery and the balance of users, industries and environment that gain value from it. The Routemap will plan out systems issues or conflicts in advance, de-risk and accelerate deployment, help industries plan for the future across supply chains, and provide visibility for investments to enable transitions and deliver growth and new jobs onshore. Alongside the Routemap report we are also putting forward our plans, in partnership with Great British Energy for engagement to bring to market an additional 20-30GW of offshore wind by 2030 – enough to power almost 20 million homes. The report will be the first of a series of sector specific reports that sit as a suite under the Marine Delivery Routemap. It will be followed by reports on Nature, Carbon Capture and other sectors in due course. Watch this space! We can create a thriving marine environment together, and we're on the course to do. Well done to our fantastic The Crown Estate team and thanks to all partners who have worked with us. You can find links to both reports in the comments. We look forward to you joining us on this journey as we delivery lasting and shared prosperity for the nation.
Fantastic to set out today an ambitious vision for a more co-ordinated and long-term approach to managing future demand upon the UK’s seabed – our Marine Delivery Routemap! The potential of the seabed to accelerate the delivery of #NatureRecovery, our transition to #CleanEnergy, and create jobs and opportunities across the UK is huge, but increasing demand makes a holistic approach to its management crucial. Our ground-breaking Marine Delivery Routemap will help us to develop a world-class whole system approach that creates lasting and shared prosperity for the nation. Working in collaboration with partners and stakeholders across a range of sectors, Routemap will help provide visibility and certainty for developers across a range of sectors, identify new areas for biodiversity and nature restoration, and support the prosperity of onshore communities, among other ambitions. Read the Marine Delivery Routemap below to find out more about this exciting and ambitious vision to drive the energy transition and nature recovery! https://lnkd.in/eHSitm5h
