Lp(a) International Taskforce collaboration meeting with European Atherosclerosis Society Leadership. An important milestone in reconfirming the commitment to collaborate on the strategic initiatives which will drive forward #awareness of elevated Lp(a), #screening - measuring the levels, providing scientific and economic rational for including Lp(a) in the standard of #CVD #prevention plans, building #policies based on #scientific #evidence and medical guidelines, proposing prototypes for best practice based on the #livinglabs findings. With a very strong and clear patient voice and quality of life thread across all actions. Now it is agreeing on the details: who, what, when, how, why. 𝐀𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐥 (𝐟𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞) 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬! How can HTRIC support your research? 🔎 Research is critical to improving patient outcomes and the quality of healthcare. It helps us understand what works, what doesn’t, and why. In other words: research is essential when working towards more healthy years of life. On the 3rd of July, HTRIC will host her 'On Tour' event all about research. During the afternoon, you will learn how HTRIC can help you with your research and dive into a topic in one of our breakouts to learn more about a specific step. 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬: → Lifelines_NL in your research → How to get your research funded? → Serious game Medical Device Regulation But there is more! At the start, we would like to know what you need (what kind of research you would like to do, what you need to make it happen e.g. partner researcher, company, money, insights in MDR or something else). After the breakouts, we will discuss the needs you indicated and help you take the next step(s) towards the answer to your question. 🌟Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together🌟 Last month, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in an IFCC Webinar titled, "Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together: When Laboratory Medicine Meets Olympic Games." This experience was nothing short of inspiring and a reminder of the critical role laboratory medicine plays in pushing the boundaries of human potential. In a world where athletes strive for excellence, our role as laboratory professionals is to ensure that their journey is backed by accurate science, ethical practices, and cutting-edge technology. We, too, are in pursuit of a world where the impossible becomes possible—where data meets dedication, and precision meets passion. Participating in this webinar reaffirmed my commitment to the values of collaboration and innovation. Just as athletes need a team to achieve greatness, the medical community must unite to advance our field. Together, we can overcome challenges, break barriers, and build a healthier world. A heartfelt thank you to the IFCC and the presenters for shedding light on this unique intersection of sports and science. Let’s continue to push the limits—faster, higher, stronger—together! #LaboratoryMedicine #IFCCWebinar #MedicalScience #OlympicSpirit #Innovation #Teamwork
