Good partnering practice can change lives! No one organisation can do it alone! Tassie’s superpower is connection and collaboration! Too often we focus on the outputs and results of a program, a necessary objective, without focusing on the strengths of the partnerships that create the results. We know that partnership must be more than a transactional agreement, but we don’t always stop to think about HOW we partner or what creates a successful partnership. This award recognises, the trust of the respective leads of agencies and organisation Boards who had faith that working in a different way would and does make a difference. It recognises the teams on the ground who have worked hard to ensure the partnership was a success and ultimately deliver creative (outside the box) service responses to provide families with opportunities for children to have bright lives and positive futures. Cranmore has been selected as one of six suppliers to develop an innovative tech solution to help tackle violence against women and girls. It’s part of an SBRI initiative on behalf of the Northern Ireland Executive. This is phase 1 of the competition focusing on solution design, stakeholder engagement, and proving technical and commercial feasibility. Cranmore’s Alex Wilson, Heather McCook and Damien Whinnery attended an information sharing event for the initiative in Belfast recently, meeting Junior Ministers Pam Cameron and Aisling Reilly, as well as stakeholders including the PSNI, Department of Justice, Translink and local councils to discuss the idea. As we mark National Reconciliation Week (NRW) from May 27th to June 3rd, ADCO proudly recognises and celebrates the rich cultures, histories, and achievements of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This important week serves as a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to foster understanding, respect, and unity across our diverse communities.   At ADCO, reconciliation is not just a concept—it is a commitment we have made under our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Our Innovate RAP guides us in our journey towards reconciliation, outlining tangible steps and initiatives to promote meaningful engagement, respect, and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.   During National Reconciliation Week, we reaffirm our dedication to implementing our RAP and advancing reconciliation in Australia with activities and discussions across our offices and projects in QLD, NSW, VIC and WA. 📢 The Central Australian Women's Legal Service welcomes the announcement made by Minister Amanda Rishworth MP last week, representing an additional investment in our service which is vital to enhancing the safety and wellbeing of women, children and families in the Northern Territory 🚨 ℹ️ CAWLS will receive funding to develop and pilot an Integrated Community Justice Partnership (ICJP) program. The program will adopt a partnership-based model to strengthen capacity and capability for community-led multidisciplinary responses to DFSV in remote communities including integrated elements across the prevention spectrum - primary prevention, early prevention and crisis response. 🗣️ This is welcome news following another challenging year for CAWLS service delivery in Central Australia and the Barkly with all areas of our multidisciplinary practice at capacity. We supported 1596 women across our region through our crisis-drop in service and outreach models 👐 📍 We look forward to working more comprehensively with remote communities to achieve safety, wellbeing, and access to justice for all women in our jurisdiction ✊

We recently welcomed Danielle Cassidy from Queensland Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Child Protection Peak Ltd (QATSICPP) to our Senior Leadership Team meeting to discuss the Waterways initiative. QATSICPP, in partnership with SNAICC, Absec, VACCA, KWY, and independent consultants Yamurrah, have developed a national training and development package focused on Cultural Responsiveness and Trauma-Informed Practice – Waterways.   Funded by the Department of Social Services (DSS), this partnership aims to enhance the cultural responsiveness of DSS-funded services working with children and families across Australia. Play Matters Australia are excited for our national team to participate in this valuable training, which will further our commitment as allies to First Nations communities.   At Play Matters, we are committed to learning from and building on First Nations knowledge and strengths around culture, connection and play. This pact is the culmination of an inclusive, years-long process aimed at adapting international cooperation to today's realities and tomorrow's challenges with the aim of turbocharging our efforts to address the #SDGs. It covers a broad range of themes including peace and security, sustainable development, climate change, digital cooperation, human rights, gender, youth, and future generations, as well as the transformation of global governance. 🌎 🌿 One of the most significant aspects of the pact is the agreement to develop a 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 (𝗚𝗗𝗣) 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀. 🚢 Bringing the Maritime and Judicial Worlds Together: Turning Blue Stakeholder Meetings in the Netherlands 🌊 In March this year, the Dutch Turning Blue team— @PFA, ProSea, @ClickF1, and Stichting 180 — organized the first stakeholder meeting, connecting professionals from the maritime industry and the judiciary. The initiative aimed to foster connections, exchange insights, and explore potential collaborations. Looking ahead to March 2025, the plan is to intensify these efforts by organizing mini-excursions. These events will allow stakeholders to step into each other’s worlds, share perspectives, and identify opportunities for cooperation. The interest between these sectors is evident, and such interactions highlight that collaboration begins with meaningful engagement.
