Good partnering practice can change lives! No one organisation can do it alone! Tassie’s superpower is connection and collaboration! Too often we focus on the outputs and results of a program, a necessary objective, without focusing on the strengths of the partnerships that create the results. We know that partnership must be more than a transactional agreement, but we don’t always stop to think about HOW we partner or what creates a successful partnership. This award recognises, the trust of the respective leads of agencies and organisation Boards who had faith that working in a different way would and does make a difference. It recognises the teams on the ground who have worked hard to ensure the partnership was a success and ultimately deliver creative (outside the box) service responses to provide families with opportunities for children to have bright lives and positive futures. Great day at the PASC conference yesterday. A day of brilliant speakers, panel Q&A & networking with some great individuals. Very insightful day discussing all of the ongoing and challenges ahead for our industry with Short Lets & Self Catering, and the growing regulatory strain and pressures we face. The day reinforced how incredibly key it is to have this group and individuals who are championing and being a voice for our businesses & relaying the impacts to help support this sector navigate all of our challenges. It’s so important for us to have this advocacy, and proactive approach to make our voices heard create a positive impact for change. By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail 🏡📍📈 #knowledgeispowerful #understandyourmarket #pasc #propertymanagement

On the sidelines of a successful COSBOA National Small Business Summit, our CEO Luke Achterstraat spoke to The Australian Financial Review's Patrick Durkin about small business advocacy and the need to engage with other industry bodies. Whilst small and big businesses won't always agree, finding common ground is critical at a time when many industries face regulatory and economic headwinds. Taking a step forward in social commitment and strengthening their leadership in order to support the legal profession. This is the aim of the refoundation of the ICAM Cortina Foundation, as announced last June by the Illustrious Bar Association of Madrid (ICAM). The relaunch brought a new image, renewed competencies, and a dynamic structure. The pillars of action in this new phase encompass five main elements: the centralisation of social activities, the professionalisation of the management team, the review and expansion of assistance benefits, the valorisation of volunteerism, and the creation of a new web platform to enhance interaction with members. The board of trustees, headed by Eugenio Ribón as president and with Ana Buitrago as vice president and responsible for the social area of ICAM, reflects the diversity of the profession and includes representatives from the legal community in Madrid. This relaunch aims to have a positive impact on society by collaborating with over 200 beneficiary entities and developing projects alongside more than 1,200 volunteer members each year. Are you a Trustee / Director / Governor in #Pembrokeshire? We would like to hear from you. We all know it can be difficult to get new Trustees to join a board (or find volunteer Directors / Governors). Pembrokeshire Association of Voluntary Services (PAVS) plans to create some new publicity materials to help with Trustee recruitment and we would like you to be involved. We have heard some amazing success stories over the years, about why people get involved and what works – and just as important what doesn’t – in Trustee recruitment. What we would really like to do is hear directly from local (Pembrokeshire) Trustees about why you got involved, what you like about it, what makes it a great thing to do… and of course any tips you would like to share with others about how you got more people involved. Below is a link to a short survey, we would be really grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete it (it can be completed anonymously). We are also looking for a small number of Trustees/ Directors to interview (quotes and/or your voice may be used in the materials and/ or video – but would be anonymous). The deadline to complete the survey is 14th October. https://lnkd.in/euSC5cdB

ATTN: #Oklahoma #InHouse #Counsel: #SAVETHEDATE: In-House Oklahoma's next event - Thursday, November 7th - 4:30pm-7:00pm - Tulsa Country Club Recently created, In-House Oklahoma brings together nearly 1,000 in-house counsel representing almost 700 companies across the state. The forum is a community of in-house leaders who share legal best-practices in a local, peer-to-peer, networking community. The goal is to build relationships and exchange best practices through strategic programming and networking hosted in our chapter cities: #OklahomaCity and #Tulsa. In-House Oklahoma’s mission is to be the choice organization for networking, best practice exchange, and legal department thought leadership among the state’s in-house counsel. In-house innovation comes from diverse sources, and the most direct path to solving the problems in-house leadership faces every day is through collaboration with fellow legal colleagues. Members are thought leaders who understand the power of collaboration. In-House Oklahoma’s founders designed the organization to be a relationship-building conduit for in-house counsel. Unlike similar organizations, only in-house counsel with significant leadership and management responsibilities in a corporation, non-profit organization or government agency are eligible for complimentary membership. Besides the host firm, there are no other law firms or other service/product providers invited or participating. This is intended exclusively for Oklahoma’s in-house counsel. The initiative will host three annual events, one in Oklahoma City and one in Tulsa, featuring topical industry presentations and leadership panel discussions, and one virtual (co-sponsored by the ACC). In-House Oklahoma’s inaugural in-person event took place in May in Oklahoma City: https://lnkd.in/grtMiFWj If you want to make sure you on the elite mailing list for this initiative, please email me at john.eix@crowedunlevy.com.
