Would you like to walk inside the Viaduct under construction with me? The precast segment method is very suitable for the construction of railway or roadway viaducts built in complex urban areas. Because it is manufactured within the factory, it can be produced very quickly and maintain consistent concrete quality. Repeatable production is possible, which can lower unit costs and better ensure the safety of workers and environmental problems such as noise and dust generated in the field. However, it is also the method that causes the most accidents. Of course, if I participate in the project, accidents won't happen... hahaha... #bridge #viaduct #railway #engineering #design #construction

The Importance of Expansion Joints in Bridges 🌉 Have you ever noticed the gaps or seams on bridges? These are expansion joints, and they play a vital role in maintaining a bridge’s stability and durability. Expansion joints allow bridge materials like concrete and steel to expand and contract with temperature changes. Without them, the bridge could crack, buckle, or even fail due to the constant movement caused by weather fluctuations. Additionally, expansion joints help distribute weight and stress more evenly. As vehicles pass over, the joints let different sections of the bridge move independently, reducing stress buildup and preventing long-term damage from traffic, wind, and even seismic activity.
