I’m so excited to launch something very special for corporate woman leaders in the Omaha, NE metro 🤗 As an executive coach and trainer who works with corporate women leaders, there’s one thing I hear over and over again. “I feel lonely, who else can I connect with on a leadership level?” It’s not uncommon. As women rise to higher levels of leadership, they often find themselves as “lonely onlies” - one of the only women on their leadership team or in the senior most meeting rooms. They are craving to find other women they can connect with, learn from and grow with - those who uniquely understand the challenges and opportunities of the corporate environment. My friend and colleague Melissa Hurrington saw this, too. And we decided to do something about it, not only to help women grow but to help organizations build their pipeline of talented women leaders. This is one of the most strategically placed pop-ups I’ve seen👇 ❌ Don’t interrupt the flow with irrelevant content ✅ Position value-adds where they matter most This Forbes pop-up? It’s on point. The timing is next to perfect, it comes up right after an article on Psycho Bunny’s brand leadership and Anna Martini, FCPA's approach. It speaks directly to the audience interested in leadership and innovation. And then, the pop-up: “Get our essential briefing on female entrepreneurs and leaders.” This isn’t random, it’s a highly relevant offer. They know the reader is already invested in learning more about influential leaders, so why not provide further insights into women who are excelling in business? Instead of an intrusive ad for something unrelated, it’s part of the conversation, in context. I love how Forbes has tied this seamlessly into the content. If you’re into leadership styles and trends, it makes perfect sense to stay informed on women-led businesses, career tools, and profiles. If your pop-ups aren’t speaking directly to your audience’s current interest, maybe it’s time to rethink your strategy.
